DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I'LL START BY SAYING THAT THE HOTEL'S FACADE WAS IN RUINS BECAUSE IT WAS BEING COMPLETELY REBUILT, AND IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE ANNOYING AND UGLY, BUT THAT WASN'T THE WORST PART. I arrived with my guide dog and booked the New York Suite. Once there, they told me no, that since I was traveling with my guide dog, I couldn't stay in that category because it was a suite and they don't allow dogs in suites. I repeat, this is a guide dog, 100% necessary for my development and specially trained for this purpose. I attached all the documentation proving this, more than five official documents. Well, after the reception staff spoke with the manager, Mr. Ignacio Nieto, they offered us the following solution: a standard room at a lower price, obviously, and breakfast included. We obviously didn't accept this blackmail. Furthermore, the room wasn't ready, and when we went to see it, the cleaning lady who saw us was practically blowing on the floor when she saw a guide dog. Disgraceful. Mr. Nieto told me that the reason we weren't given the room was because of the valuable works of art included in it, and that therefore they don't accept pets in that category. His ignorance prevented him from understanding that a guide dog isn't a pet, and that if it had been because of the incalculable value of the artwork they have, it would have been as easy as leaving a €2,000 deposit and the problem would have been solved. But no, it turns out that with my guide dog we may have visited the Louvre in Paris, but not the well-known Hotel Avenida in Zaragoza. We will turn this over to whomever it may concern. Discriminating against someone for having a guide dog—I repeat, a guide dog—should be illegal. And of course, we will never return.

We chose the Hotel Avenida for our wedding this year, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The excellent location, the beautiful, unique, and special setting, and the wonderful service from Carmen and Ignacio throughout the entire planning process, right up to the wedding day, and how well they took care of us, made for the perfect combination to ensure everything was perfect on such a special day. We also booked a room for two nights, and they were incredibly beautiful. We will be eternally grateful.

I used to go there for years and was happy, until last year (June 2025). I booked, as I had for years, two nights for three people, and it wasn't until 10 pm that they told me I only had a room for one night. This had never happened to me before with the staff, so we had to get our act together and find another hotel. Very bad. This year we found a different hotel. Maribel Lorente

The reception was perfect, the entrance and common areas were very nice, although I think it was still under construction. We stayed in a renovated room and it was very good. The bathroom was great, the shower amazing. But, and there's always a but, the wonderful shower drains terribly and it's easy for it to overflow and flood the whole room if you shower for even a short time, something that definitely needs improvement. But otherwise, it was perfect and very tastefully done.
