About this place Checkpoint Vaud
Checkpoint Vaud is a sexual-health centre in central Lausanne, on Rue Saint-Pierre, aimed at gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men, and at trans people. It is part of the Swiss Checkpoint network and works with the Vaud foundation PROFA. Services include confidential HIV and STI testing, PrEP counselling and follow-up, and mental-health and community support.
For visitors it is the practical place to go for a test, PEP advice or a PrEP question while in the Lake Geneva region. Opening times and walk-in versus appointment slots change, so check the website before turning up.

A very disappointing experience. While I was suffering from a symptomatic infection and needed a simple injection, I was refused treatment because I couldn't finish work early. I regret this lack of flexibility in the face of a medical situation requiring prompt attention.
