Hotel Arte Spreitenbach

A very simple business hotel. I paid CHF 120 for one night, without breakfast. Self-check-in. If you don't pay for the hotel before arriving, managing check-in and payment can be difficult. There's no POS terminal, but you can make payments wherever you need them using two computers. An app for OTP confirmation is required.

I spent two nights there and honestly, I was worse than disappointed. The room was dirty, with cobwebs, stained sheets and mattress (you can clearly see the mattress stains through the sheets), and a clogged sink, but there was no one to report it to because it's self check-in and check-out. I have photos to prove it, but I can't seem to upload them. The only positive points were the refrigerator in the room, free parking, and proximity to McDonald's. Avoid at all costs.

Two separate rooms (101-102) are separated by a door, not even a whole wall. My boyfriend was in one of these rooms. During the night, at least three men went into the other room and made noise until 5 a.m., laughing loudly and playing music. My boyfriend then called customer service at 3 a.m., and the staff simply said, "That's your problem." They couldn't or wouldn't do anything and wouldn't even change his room. Furthermore, the rooms in general aren't very clean; there are stains in the bathroom, on the bed linens, and the floor is dirty. I find the entire staff and management incompetent and disorganized. It's a shame because the hotel actually has a lot of potential.

In the room next to mine, separated by a closed door, people were shouting, laughing, and listening music all night. I tried to contact the concierge, but they said they couldn't help. Furthermore, the housekeeping service was decidedly inadequate. Unfortunately, I can't give it 0 stars.

Efficient and great value.

I stayed overnight there last week while passing through. The fully digitalized reservation and check-in process worked well. The room reeked of smoke, which was very unpleasant and didn't improve my already short night. In the morning, I wanted to take a shower; unfortunately, there was no water. The cleanliness of the bathroom/toilet was also a complete disaster. Since no one was on-site, I expressed my dissatisfaction by phone to an absent hotel employee and asked for compensation. To this day, the hotel hasn't contacted me. So, steer clear—even if it's cheap—you should be compensated for the experience.

Very disappointing stay. Upon arrival, I had to pay a second time at a computer just to gain access to the room – absolutely unacceptable. The room was also dirty, especially the bathroom, which had clearly not been cleaned properly. There was no reception desk, which was very inconvenient if I had any problems or questions, and I didn't like that at all. Overall, not a pleasant stay; I would not recommend this hotel.

Rooms are assigned twice upon check-in. The system is simply awful and risks theft when new guests check in, or unexpected guests might be found in the room. The price-performance ratio is unacceptable. The service is unfriendly, and when asked if they can resolve the problem, they hang up and offer no help. Staff answer the phone and respond with "all lines are busy" at 6 a.m. I wouldn't recommend this hotel even for nothing.
