Zurich Pride 2027
About This Event
Zürich Pride is Switzerland's largest Pride celebration, held every year in mid-June in the city of Zürich — an annual, city-based event rather than a rotating regional one. Growing out of Zürich's early-1990s demonstrations for LGBTQ+ rights, it has become a fixture of the European Pride calendar, drawing on the order of 40,000 participants and combining a demonstration march through the city with a festival village and an extensive party programme.
A note on recent years: in 2026 the full festival was cancelled for funding reasons and the event ran as a march only (20 June 2026). The full festival — with its lakeside/city-centre festival village, live music, DJ sets, community stalls and speeches — is expected to return in 2027 in mid-June. As always, exact dates and the final programme are confirmed closer to the time.
For visitors, Zürich Pride is a polished, welcoming celebration that reflects Swiss organisational flair: high production values, a diverse crowd of locals and international travellers, and a genuinely inclusive atmosphere set against the city's Old Town and lakefront. Book accommodation early — central districts (Kreis 1 Old Town, Kreis 4 Langstrasse) offer the best access to the events and nightlife. Many elements, including the march and main-stage programme, are free; some parties may require tickets, available via the official website zurichpride.ch closer to the date.
