My wife and I were planning to attend a certain event in Lviv. We decided to book a hotel more than a month in advance. We have gone to the Swiss Hotel on Kniazya Romana Street in Lviv. We were shown the room and told the cost of accommodation for two days, taking into account the discount for me as a participant in the hostilities. We were arranged with the conditions of the selected room and the announced cost for two days. A week before arrival, I called the hotel to confirm my arrival and make sure the reservation was valid. During the phone conversation, I was told that everything was fine, that they would call me back shortly before arrival to confirm. No one ever called. On the day previously agreed with the hotel, I in military uniform (I came from the East) and my wife arrived at the hotel. A group of foreigners came to the hotel to check in before us. I informed the reception, and during the check-out this person at the reception introduced himself as the administrator, that we had booked a room and wanted to check in. The administrator told us to wait in the lobby. We had to wait for check-in for over an hour. During check-in, I was confronted with the fact that the cost of accommodation had increased without any explanation. Then I was informed that the porter would take us to our room. The porter showed me the elevator door, told me the floor and the direction to the room after exiting the elevator. Although the porter helped foreigners with carrying their belongings, my wife and I were not offered any help, although we had four pieces of luggage. Our entire stay at the hotel was accompanied by indifference and arrogance from the hotel staff. The contempt for an active military man in uniform, a participant in hostilities, was striking. A request to contact the hotel management was actually ignored, because only false promises were made. My wife and I planned to attend a certain event in Lviv.
