Cara-Friend

Cara-Friend is a Northern Ireland LGBTQ+ charity founded in 1974, one of the oldest in the UK and Ireland. It is based at the Belfast LGBT Centre on Waring Street in the Cathedral Quarter. Its services include counselling, phone and online befriending, youth groups for young LGBTQ+ people across Northern Ireland, and training for schools and workplaces. Most services are by appointment or scheduled group sessions, so contact them before turning up. The Cathedral Quarter is also where most of Belfast's gay bars are, a few minutes' walk away.
