Yvonne is an exceptional host - kind, generous, and hospitable. She's a keen cyclist and welcomes fellow enthusiasts. Breakfast is fantastic and sets you up for the day. The location is next to the river on a quiet street. It's an easy walk into the centre of Kendal. Rooms are lovely. Yvonne strives to reduce environmental impact, which is much appreciated. If we are ever near Kendal in future, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Lovely restorative stay at Lyndhurst guest house. Yvonne was super friendly and really looked after us well. She has a garage for storing bicycles. There was plentiful tea and biscuits in the room. She helped advise on wet weather options. All together a fantastic stay. Would definitely come back.

Lovely quaint little guest house. I’m in Kendal frequently for work, and fancied a change from the usual chain hotel options. This little B&B was a great option - very clean and well maintained with excellent facilities.

A lovely little place, comfortable and spotless room. Yvonne was a welcoming host and communication was great right from booking to leaving. A quirky guesthouse with really thoughtful extra touches. When we arrived there were fresh biscuits in our room with tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and a kettle. A little sewing kit in the room, which we ended up needing and a hot water bottle and blanket for colder nights. Our room was facing the river, so a beautiful location. Yvonne had kindly supplied a map and a list of places to eat or to explore. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a guesthouse in the area.

Lovely old victorian guest house and Yvonne is an extremely friendly host who made us feel very welcome and helped us with advice on where to drink and eat etc,would definitely stay here again.

I’ve just returned from a gorgeous three day stay at Lyndhurst. Yvonne is so welcoming and communicative, even before I arrived. During my stay she was always checking in and it was so nice to have someone to chat with (as a solo traveller). The rooms are super clean and cosy, and mine had a lovely river view. It’s really a home away from home! I look forward to returning when I’m next in Kendal! Thanks Yvonne (& Scout!) for a lovely stay :)
