This has been the best meal since we came almost a year ago. Since, we have been to a handful of Michelin star restaurants and still always return to our home town to The Bronze Pig restaurant and enjoy every mouthful.

Partner and I both had the tasting menu here and it was delicious. The chef described each course to us as it was served and made for a wonderful fine dining experience. Service and hosting were top quality, the owner introduced us to some great wine and even ordered in a few bottles for us on request. Perfect experience, highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of dining at The Bronze Pig during our trip to Lincoln for a cycling event, and the whole experience was exceptional. The service was warm and personable, the wine recommendation was perfect, and every dish was delicious. We dine out regularly, and it’s rare to find somewhere we genuinely can’t fault, but The Bronze Pig truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you for such a wonderful evening — we will definitely be back!

Wow. What a find! Not only is the food exceptional (and I mean EXCEPTIONAL) but the service and atmosphere are too. The staff are outstanding; they obviously care about the customers and are proud of what they’re offering. The restaurant is just lovely. It’s high-end without being stuffy. The menu is interesting and diverse and they work with the seasons which is great. The wine list is amazing and the prices are reasonable considering how good the products are. Honestly, you have to go there. A perfect experience all round!

We visited this restaurant yesterday evening. We were a table of four and it was the first time visit for all of us. All four of us were of the same opinion that we were not particularly impressed with our visit. We were seated at the table and given our menus by the owner at which point my wife asked if you had any Specials. Your reply was "Madam were a fine dining restaurant and fine dining restaurants don't have specials". Well I can assure you we have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and believe me they do have Specials. We proceeded to order our drinks and asked for a bottle of Prosecco and when you arrived with it at the table you also brought a bottle of Rose Prosecco which we hadn't requested but you continued to comment that you brought the Rose as it was a lot colder than the normal Prosecco and therefore we may prefer to have that one. Made us wonder why you did not have both of them chilled. One of us asked you if the Rose was dry or sweeter than the normal Prosecco. At this point you told us that all Prosecco is dry as Prosecco means dry in Italian. What a complete lie as you can see from the Google extract: What does Prosecco mean in Italian? Prosecco is named after the village of Prosecco, located in north eastern Italy. Wine from this area has been referred to as “prosecco” for at least 400 years. Early Proseccos were sparkling wines made using ancestral methods; they were sweet and low in alcohol. 7 May 2025. With your comments about the 'Specials' and the 'Prosecco' we all felt you were very condescending with somewhat of an attitude and not the way you should be speaking to diners. The food was okay but having eaten at many fine dining restaurants including Michelin star restaurants we felt the food was more of a decent gastro-pub food than fine dining. Another couple of points we noticed was the state of the place mats that had clearly seen better days and had not been renewed for some time. You also had a display of your Michelin award in 2018 which is some time ago and obviously not had an award since then or surely it would also have been displayed. Having paid a total bill for the four of us that was just short of £280 we certainly came away feeling very disappointed with our experience and will certainly not be visiting again in a hurry.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience with Pompeo and his excellent team tonight. The food is delicious and beautifully presented and very authentic to the Italian heritage. Well done to Daniel and his young kitchen staff. For starters, we loved the scallops and arrancino, which were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Mains were equally delicious and quite perfect. My wife loved the lobster and I thoroughly enjoyed the beef rib ragu pasta. Puddings were spectacular - especially the rhubarb mille feuille which was so light and full of flavour. A sensibly priced Gavi and glass of pinot noir, finished off with an Italian brandy made our evening perfect. Thank you Pompeo for your wit and hospitality - we’ll be back soon.
