About this place The Black Cap
The Black Cap on Camden High Street was one of London's best-known drag pubs until it closed in 2015. After a long community campaign and a refit, it reopened on 21 March 2026 as a gay pub with cabaret and drag back on the programme and B&B rooms upstairs.
It opens from 17:00 on weekdays and from midday Friday to Sunday, staying open until 02:00 on Friday and Saturday. Camden Town tube is a few minutes' walk. Check the website for the week's cabaret line-up, since the schedule is still settling after the relaunch.
