About this place The King's Head

The King's Head, a members-only club on Kingsland Road, is a useful retreat from East London life.

Opened in 2013, it's tucked away in a converted building, which hides several distinct spaces. Inside, you'll find a lounge bar, a restaurant, a nightclub that feels like a secret, and private rooms spread over different floors.

This is a gay bar and club, the kind of dedicated LGBTQ+ space that's become a fixture in East London's creative circles. London's gay venues run from casual neighborhood spots to much bigger clubs, and the King's Head's multi-room layout lets you choose your own adventure: a relaxed drink in the lounge, dinner, or a full-on dance night.

Since it’s a private members club, check their website, www.thekingshead-london, for details on how to get in. It’s on Kingsland Road, which puts it right in the thick of things if you’re out exploring East London.

Amazing service from Alan. We were a group that went to watch the England FIFA game. He was just superb at meeting all of our needs. Can’t recommend him enough.

Absolutely lovely pub situated on a nice, quiet street, which feels surprisingly peaceful given how busy the surrounding area is. The service was impeccable and the drinks selection, especially the ales and beers, was excellent. There is ample seating and plenty of plug sockets if you need to charge your phone or laptop. I didn't try anything from the menu as I wasn't hungry, but some of the starters and mains certainly looked inviting. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend this pub to anyone.

Great staff. Great locals. Good food, can’t recommend it more for an authentic local pub
