via Stay22About this place Oscars Bar
Oscars Bar is a small gay bar on Manchester's Canal Street that puts on live music, mostly for a 30-something crowd.
It's not a club. Think of it as a low-key spot for drinks and conversation, a place to actually hear your friends talk. The atmosphere is cozy, a good antidote to the bigger, louder venues nearby.
You'll find live performances happening regularly here. And when the weather's good, there's a terrace that looks out over the canal – a nice little escape from the street itself. Don't expect anything fancy with the drinks; it's a solid selection of cocktails and other standards.
Just remember, it's shut on Mondays. Otherwise, it's a reliable choice for a relaxed night out, especially if you're after some tunes and a bit of chat without the full-on club experience.

Popped in with a friend for a drink on Friday 6th - the two staff behind the bar would have completely spoiled the vibe if it weren’t for the younger bubbly lad with the curly mullet with fantastic customer service - we even got another drink just for his smile! Will be returning when he’s on shift :)
Says it opens at 2pm wasn't open at half 2. Shouldn't have open times if you're not going to open at them times
