Haven't stayed but emailed regarding a query and the customer service I received was excellent, and can't wait to visit.

Wonderful afternoon tea. All handmade cakes and scones. And very tasty sandwiches.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a wonderful and unique place. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped back in time. Every room is full of fascinating history, memorabilia and character, making it much more than just a hotel. We came for afternoon tea and it certainly lived up to its reputation. At £25 per person it isn’t cheap, but the quality, presentation and overall experience made it feel worthwhile. Everything was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and served in a relaxed, traditional setting. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, and we never felt rushed. We spent time looking around the hotel afterwards and were amazed by the collection of historic artefacts and the care that’s gone into preserving such a special building. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s completely different from a modern chain hotel, this is an absolute gem. Whether it’s for afternoon tea, a drink on the veranda or an overnight stay, it’s well worth a visit. The Walpole Bay Hotel is a restored Edwardian hotel dating from 1914, with its own museum and extensive historic collections, which is part of what makes it such a distinctive place.

We enjoyed a wonderful English tea time here during our holiday and were delighted by the elegant tableware, the wonderfully old-fashioned ambiance, and the efforts made to preserve and maintain this special charm. Highly recommended!

Didn’t stay here but came for afternoon tea which was fantastic! Excellent service friendly staff and even met the owner who stopped by to ask if we were enjoying our food. (Which we definitely were 😃) Highly recommend, full of character and the food is delicious- very reasonable too

1914 hotel so all edwardian style and a museum, an interesting display of napkin art, quirky and very unique

We had two lovely nights at this quaint, quirky and beautiful hotel. In each corridor and around every bend there is history, from family wedding/christianing gowns over many years to old radios, Kitchen items, dolls houses, clothes. It is amazing!!! Our room was on the corner with sea view, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. All staff were very friendly and professional. We will be back!

Another great stay in this beautiful hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Was very hot weather and fans were put in all bedrooms. Breakfast was delicious as expected. Nicely located in the quieter end of Cliftonville, Margate less than 5 minutes drive and Wuex House and Gardens 20 minutes drive. Have booked again for next year.

Had a wonderful stay at Warpole Bay Hotel. Just want to echo all the positive reviews. Hotel has lots af charm with a warm friendly hotel team. Rooms are clean and comfortable with fantastic views. Great value for money, will definitely return.

We had an amazing afternoon tea today at the Walpole bay hotel, the sandwiches and cakes were all fresh and delicious, the staff were really friendly and polite and couldn't have done any more for us. The pianist was very good, which made for a wonderful atmosphere

The Walpole Bay Hotel is a unique experience not to be missed, along with the museum element of the place. It is from a bygone era, in a good way, when the customer & service were important. We had a lovely superior double room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Jane, the owner, greeted all the guests each morning at the delicious breakfast, in the period dinning room & regaled us with hilarious stories of days past. We will be returning! It is well placed for visits to Broadstairs, Ramsgate & Sandwich. Although evening meal is not provided, takeaways can be ordered in & eaten in the lovely dinning room.
