Littlemore Park

Littlemore Park, off Armstrong Road near the SAE Institute, is one of Oxford’s established outdoor meeting spots for LGBTQ+ people.

Think of it as a traditional cruising ground, a place where gay men have historically met up, often spontaneously and with little fuss. This isn't a bar with a dress code; it's a patch of green space where you can connect with others in a relaxed, open-air setting.

You’ll find it’s easy to get to, and it’s right by other useful spots. Sainsbury's at Heyford Hill, for example, is just down the road and also has a reputation as a casual meeting point for gay men.

If you go, just be aware of your surroundings and respectful of everyone else using the park, gay or straight. Like any public space, there are local rules to follow.
