Plymouth Pride
About This Event
Plymouth Pride is the city's yearly march and free festival day, run by the volunteer group Plymouth Pride CIC. The first Plymouth Pride was in August 2009, when Peter Tatchell led a procession from the Piazza to the Guildhall, and the outdoor festival began in 2012 in Devonport Park. The 2024 Pride, on 22 June, marched from the Theatre Royal to a festival in Central Park, and organisers say it usually draws 6,000 to 7,000 people.
The 2025 Pride was cancelled because of a funding shortfall, and a community-run alternative took its place. The 2026 edition went ahead on Saturday 11 July on Plymouth Hoe, 11:00 to 20:00, free to attend, thanks to National Lottery money. For 2027 the organisers are fundraising, and no date had been confirmed when we checked in October 2026.
