Basic,but spotless in a nice quiet area. I'm travelling alone so don't need anything fancy. My dealings with the staff have been positive, and they have been polite and helpful. Very good experience and it's a shame there aren't more places like this offering bargain accommodation.

The staff at reception when I left my bag then came back and checked in (young lady with red hair) was super friendly and polite as was the receptionist later on (dark hair, nose piercing) when I went to grab a coffee. The room itself was ok, for £36 I wasn't expecting much, communal kitchen was a bit of a disappointment withy locker being inaccessible and cutlery being like gold dust. One thing that did annoy me was the one site shop, it was supposedly open until 10pm but was closed both days when I went at 7:30-8, there's an actual Tesco within fifteen minutes walk but after a long hoke more walking was the last thing I wanted.

Really friendly staff. Amazing price for the area. Not much parking but plenty within a few minutes walk (some free on street). Rooms have basics for what you need for a night or 2. All areas very clean.

Ideal for a short stay, especially for visiting University of Sheffield. Rooms are ex-student accommodation. Small comfy double beds, ensuite with sink and shower. TV, which I could connect my phone to. Communal kitchens - some floors have tiny kitchens, best for microwave/simple food. Other floors bigger spaces with more cooking options. No oil, tea bags etc - you need to bring everything or eat out (Halifax Hotel next door). Plates, bowls etc provided, but often no cutlery. Comp cuppa and a croissant for breakfast (or book breakfast at the Halifax). It won't be everyone's cuppa, but for a cheap stay over and bit of nostalgia whilst visiting my uni student, it's ideal.

Excellent value for money!

You get what you pay for. Beds are smaller than standard. But we made it work. Slept well and would stay again. Croissant’s for breakfast are fresh.
