Royal Seven Stars, Totnes

As a local I was totally disappointed with our meal there today - we went in for Sunday roast…. Will never eat there again. Portion size of meat - miniscule, to the point we could hear other tables complaining about it as well Vegetables were cold. Cauliflower cheese was watery and had no taste My braised beef was allegedly slow cooked but was dry and tough. The pork might have been nice but my partners portion was so small we couldn’t tell. I don’t mind paying slightly more than other places if the food is good but this food was anything but good and completely over priced.

One of the best fish and chips we have ever had. The fish was very excellently cooked and the minted peas were also brilliant, usually not a fan but these were really really good. Wife had the lamb and again it didn't disappoint. Well done to the chef, I believe her name is Jen? And also hats off to Dani our server, legend in the making. Thank you team!

Ordered a couple of pints. One was poured wrong and I was accused of making it up. Let me tell you I would NEVER order a pint of Tribute. It's gross. Nice enough room but that spoiled it for me

I haven't actually stayed at the hotel, but I want to thank Keiran for his help in sorting out a cancellation refund that Booking .com had messed up. Keiran was brilliant, phoned me back when he said he would. Excellent customer service. I would book direct with the hotel next time.

Excellent in every way. Upon immediate arrival, Prompt, courteous, very pleasant and helpful staff. Went out of their way to make us comfortable and content. Would highly recommend. A whole stay at a place is made more memorable when one is greeted with 'genuine' smiles and kind eyes from 'willing' staff, both young and mature. For me personally, this is why I'd return, time and again.

We only stayed for Sunday Lunch but it was first class.

A great two nights at Royal Seven Stars in Totnes. Very comfortable clean room, the staff were super helpful and breakfast was very good. Great value and excellent location in centre of town.

Who doesn't like Totnes?! This beautiful Hotel has all the old world charm with modern convenience. In the center of town, 5 minutes to the railway station, its tge perfect location to explore south Devon. The staff are delightful, helpful, happy and work incredibly hard.
