Hôtel Oaks Gold Coast

The receptionist was not very helpful nor knew what she was doing. The keys of the room didn’t work and I had to go twice to her, then she said the battery of the door lock needs to be replaced , we had to wait outside the room to get it replaced but it ended up the keys were faulty and nothing wrong with the door lock battery. So we waited for nothing. The receptionist claimed that they were fully booked and they had no rooms while the whole hotel was soooooo empty. Also wi fi didn’t work because my name was not on the system to connect to it when it asked me for my room number and last name!!!!!! It is a no return hotel for sure

This grand hotel with impressive high ceilings at the lobby, solid granite everywhere including inside the rooms and bathrooms, is in immaculate and very clean condition with stunning ocean and river views next to a light rail stop, with short light rail trip to Cavill Ave Surfers and only 1 stop to the Casino. The ocean views are majestic, the bathrooms grand, & also get large screen tv with foxtel at the price of a motel stay. The service is excellent, with special thanks to Rachel for the VIP service at check in, to Crystal and Avani, a dedicated hard worker. Highly recommended stay here

Great service and very comfortable rooms. We visit the hotel regularly and each time we can not fault the great service and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Special mention for Rachel on the front counter and the Front Office Manager. Thank you again - Geoff and Karla Walker

Excellent hotel.

The other reviews are correct, such dates rooms, ripped paper, stains on the wall, smelly rooms (drugs and damp). When I complained, I was offered $100 to treat ‘me and my girlfriend to dinner’ considering I paid $650 this was insulting. I then had to reach out to the director as the manger was very blunt, rude and ignored my emails/calls even though I began VERY polite considering. Since promising me a 50% refund I have still not received this, avoid this place as all costs.

We didn't get the room set up that we requested, the tv wasn't working so someone was sent up to fix it the next day as it was after hours. Bedside light was not working, and after I investigated why, it wasn't plugged in.

Fresh wooden floors and clean bed but all the other furniture is so old and broken or chipped. Chairs look stained, wallpaper peeling and the shower is so hard to turn on, sounds like the pipes are going to burst any second. Stains and dust on toilet walls and floor. Standard process in hotels is that room service will come in and take rubbish out and freshen the room up while you’re out and about. Don’t book here expecting that. Lobby is very outdated and the pool looks like it’s from the 80s and the water looks dirty. Would not recommend booking here

The hotel rooms was quite spacious with a nice jacuzzi, and there all the rooms are facing the ocean. However, the internet quality was low, however it has turned out that it's not the only place with bad internet connection.

This hotel is simply awful. There's absolutely no hygiene. Mold is everywhere, and cockroaches run from the entrance to the rooms. The conditions are absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I definitely cannot recommend this hotel. They charge high prices, but there's no hygiene whatsoever. Cockroaches roam freely throughout the hotel. This is completely unacceptable.
