Hôtel Indigo Sydney Potts Point by IHG

The price-performance ratio is average; the rooms are small and the facilities are cramped. The breakfast is simple, but the service is good. The location is convenient, and some aspects of the experience are good, but the details need improvement.

Great hotel in a fabulous location

Really love our stay at Hotel Indigo! The hotel has a really fun and playful set-up (e.g popcorn machine near the reception area). Our room is huge and comes with a king size bed - which is what we need after walking around for the whole day! Our reservation came with breakfast. Although the breakfast option is quite small, they deliver both continental and hot breakfast option. They do barista made coffee as well to order. Location is very central - close to train station, bus stop and plenty of restaurants nearby.

I would be amiss not to leave a review of the place in which I and a few friends stayed for no fewer than three nights while visiting Sydney. The quality of service was superb and breakfast was adequate. However there was much paperwork to go over and the room beside ours was very loud.

A wonderful hotel. Rooms are clean and well kept, with a lovely little flair of style. Great location for getting around Sydney and the staff have been wonderful.

Stayed at Hotel Indigo Potts Point and overall it was a good experience, but not quite what I would expect from an IHG brand that positions itself toward the luxury/lifestyle segment. The strongest point of this hotel is definitely the staff — very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. Housekeeping was also solid, and the room itself was clean and well maintained. Another plus is the gym access next door, which is a great facility and a nice added benefit for guests. That said, the hotel feels more like a modern lifestyle property rather than anything close to luxury. There are several areas that need improvement. As an IHG Diamond Elite member, I would have expected at least some form of upgrade — a balcony room or suite would have been appreciated — but nothing was offered. Breakfast was quite minimal, which was surprising and below expectations. It’s an area that could easily be elevated. Also, while I understand the “green hotel” concept, not refilling water in the room and requiring guests to go downstairs for it feels like a compromise on guest experience. Overall, it’s a comfortable stay with good service, but there’s nothing particularly memorable or “wow” about it yet. With some upgrades and better attention to detail, it could reach the level it aims for.

Its okay I must say a visit to the hotel.

Just as advertised, a quirky, unique, top notch experience! The room was tidy and had all the amenities required. The staff were friendly and the location is superb! Will visit again!

We had a great stay at Hotel Indigo Sydney Potts Point! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our week-long stay. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the hotel itself, but the location was perfect for what we wanted. It’s a quick walk to the train, and about a 40-minute walk to Circular Quay—which I definitely recommend if you want a fun way to see the city. Potts Point ended up being our favorite area for food. There are so many great options, and we found ourselves coming back here for dinner every night—even when our family stayed closer to the main part of town.
