I was visiting Australia and I had an appetite to eat a steak and I gave with this pub. Nothing special. Normal beef without surprise. More or less wine too. Staff friendly and the pub is classic. Gave to kill missing the pubs.

Average at best pub with no redeeming features regarding the food or the drinks on offer Staff literally couldn’t care less if you were burning alive in front of them The sole reason one might attend is that they show the English Premier League But getting the staff to change the channel so you can watch it in near impossible It’s like you’re imposing on them Don’t bother coming here

Awful place and food. Had dinner which was bad bad. Fried calamari was mainly batter and chewy. The chicken nachos bowl was boiling hot but chicken and everything else was dead cold, tasteless and soggy. The pork ribs were OK but the salad was overdressed. The whole hotel was rundown and needed a major refurbishment to be presentable. The table was sticky and appeared not clean, windows had wood rot etc We frequent the Woolwich Pier hotel which is amazing.

The ild PJ Gallaghers, noisy at the front but a decent large space, with the back courtyard probably the nicest place. Good range with somewhat high beer and food prices but not the worst around here. I'd certainly go here over the Birkenhead.

For fifteen years our Over 35 soccer team has been attending this hotel for three functions per year and we have many happy memories. Lamentably it appears to be under new management. Twice in a row now, the arrogant thugs who run the bar have invented an excuse to throw us out of their near empty pub. The whole atmosphere has changed and, not surprisingly, it is now nearly always empty. We will never step foot inside this place again.

Every time I go to the Oxford I swear blind I wont return and then I forget and then it happens again. This time there's been an entire lockdown in which I forgot the pain. Went last night to take kids for a meal. Foods fairly dreadful but hey there's $7 pints. Except they charged me $9.20. So I checked price upstairs ( where its not sold ) staff confirmed Yes $7. Went downstairs where they say "hey its not included in happy hour" Its not happy hour its on the menu all day. "Oh that was BEFORE lockdown" Oh right cause upstairs they said its real price. "Oh yeah the till is programmed wrong" Oh right well can you refund me? Before lockdown there was the "KIDS EAT FREE" with paying adult. Except they didn't explain that was only with about 1 meal on the entire menu and don't tell you that until its time for you to pay. Time before that they charged me wrong and the time before that and the time before that. The foods is awful anyway especially for vegetarians.

The biggest joke of a pub. I have no idea how they are still running. Only 2 beers on tap - one of them being vb - and host to the biggest bunch of derelicts. It’s about time the area got a pub worthy of its clientele.

i used to frequent the old PJ Gallaghers years ago and remember fondly having a drink with co-workers and friends alike and having a lovely counter dinner. those days are long gone. the staff while friendly are not overly attentive, the menu has change drastically and the prices are much higher (even allowing for rate increases). I find it strange that a pub in Drummoyne charges more for standard drinks than some places in the middle of the city or darling harbor. i went in for dinner mid week and ordered the burger and tandorri chicken pizza, burger bun was stale and patty overcooked yet still very very oily. i would not recommend

I ordered a scotch fillet, medium rare. What I got was a thin, tough, dry over cooked and inedible piece of meat that was definitely not scotch fillet for over $30!When I advised the staff, no apology was forthcoming and they said they would tell the chef. Won’t be back and would not recommend.
