Beautiful beach with calm water, soft sand, and amazing sunsets. Plenty of good cafés and beach shacks nearby. Great place to relax, swim, and enjoy the South Goa vibe. One of the best beaches in Goa and definitely worth visiting.

We have planned this trip from Pune. First day we started from Pune and by 4 wheeler and stayed in between at karad. Next day morning We started from Karad at 5 am and reached to South Goa by 13:00 hours. If you are coming from North Goa, then its an hour and a half drive along the NH66. I personally felt South Goa beaches are unspoiled beauty of Goa compared to North Goa Beaches. This Palolem beach is located in Canacona, South Goa is a serene paradise known for its natural beauty, lively atmosphere, and peaceful surroundings. Its crescent shaped unspoiled shoreline stretches for about a mile, offering soft white sand and shallow waters that are perfect for swimming. With its calm waters and scenic views, its offer the perfect setting for memorable coastal escape. With a 1.5 km stretch of white powdery sand lined with tall coconut palms and bamboo beach huts, one can spend a day oboserving the peaceful surroundings. This beach is perfect place to chill and enjoy. One can leisurely spend the day on the beach and enjoy both Sunrise and Sunset. Activities and Attractions at Palolem Beach: Palolem beach is a hub of activities, blending relaxation and adventure. 1. Dolphin spotting boat trips are a highlight, giving visitors a chance to marvel at these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Dolphin sightseeing is one of the best things to do in Palolem beach with family. 2. The gentle waves make it ideal for swimming, while soft sands invite long walks along the shoreline. 3. Kayaking: Kayak through the water with the double bladed paddle and drift in the sea. We have done Kayaking Two days one day in the evening other day in the morning. It was very nice experience. 4. Windsurfing: Windsurfing is also another major attraction here. But it needs experience. All people cannot do the windsurfing like Kayaking. Surf over the seawater with the help of the surfboard after learning about the windsurfing. 5. Beyond its natural beauty, Palolem beach is also known for its vibrant nightlife. We have enjoyed evening walks and nightlife at this beach. 6. Watching Magical Sunsets: Palolem beach sunset is another experience you must not miss. The evening sky and scenery set up a comforting mood at the end of the day. Nearby attractions: 1. The Canacona Island which is also known as Monkey Island. 2. Butterfly Beach 3. Cotigao Wildlife Sanctury.

The beach is flat and sandy and is great for walking or running. Lots of small boats going off on trips and kayaks for hire too. Some really good restaurants catering for all types of diet. But, and it is a BIG but, there are too many dogs on the beach. Quiet during the day but howling and barking for hours on end through the night. It sounds like there are running battles going on. It is difficult to sleep if you are on one of the huts on the beach front.

Returned to Palolem after a 15 yr absence from visiting Goa. We used to visit twice a year every yr starting 30 yrs ago. Expected a few changes and for us, the magic was in the past. Sad to say that Palolem town itself looks dirty and unkempt. Rubbish is not managed properly. Rooms tend to be overpriced and mostly very basic in comparison to other coastal areas. Been to a few coastal towns in Goa that are cleaner and better value. Our skin felt "sticky" after swimming in the sea. The bay is still pretty and shallow and safe. Food options are very good. At weekends the beach gets busy with lots more domestic tourists. They throw rubbish everywhere.

so even though this beach in south goa and your purpose of visit to south goa is peace and calm and no crowd but this beach is Calangute/Baga of North Goa. As soon as we entered into the beach just before the sunset around 5pm on Friday, gosh it was too crowded with people and cows and dogs and water sport merchants. Just before 500mtr you can feel the crows so we decided to park our car next to The Singh restaurant (by the way, you must visit this restaurant). Then we walked for another 500mtr from that narrow road filled with cattles, cars, bikes and people. Lots of shops there so you can get anything there you want. As soon as we entered to the beach, we were shocked to see the population over there. We had run away from North Goa but ended up at the same location. 100s of people kayaking, cows and dogs fighting on the beach. View was amazing. Enjoyed the most mesmerizing sunset view between two hills. We decided to sit and relax instead going into the beach. As we were already disappointed after seeing the crowd but we decided to settled on the beach until sunset at one of the Shaks. Only thing we enjoyed at Palolem was The Singh restaurant. Very delicious food. Amazing hospitality by the manager. Budget friendly too. for total 10 people we paid 6k including beers & fish. Parking is chargeable basis like 200 for 4hrs.

Palolem Beach is one of the most beautiful and family-friendly beaches in South Goa. The long stretch of soft golden sand, calm waters, and clean surroundings make it a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family. Kids will love playing along the wide shoreline while adults can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The beach is lined with beautiful beachfront cottages, lively beach shacks, and cafés offering stunning sea views. One of the best experiences here is the boat ride to Butterfly Beach, which we thoroughly enjoyed with our family and kids. The scenic boat journey, beautiful coastline, and crystal-clear waters made it a memorable part of our trip. Compared to the busier beaches in North Goa, Palolem offers a more relaxed and unique experience. If you're looking for a clean, scenic, and family-friendly beach with great food, comfortable stays, and exciting boat rides, Palolem Beach is a must-visit destination in South Goa. Highly recommended! 🌴🌊
