Hôtel Cabinas Fukuoka

I stayed in a capsule hotel during my trip, and it was *seriously* great. And when I started talking about how good it was, it turned into a really long post. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the thoughtful design. I was extremely satisfied. Below are some things I could think of before going to sleep. The flow is a bit jumbled, but... * The smoking area on the 4th floor capsule has a sofa, a TV, and a huge window. The ventilation and space are excellent, allowing you to sit and smoke comfortably. I haven't seen a glass ashtray in ages. * The elevator destination buttons have "Smoking Area" written next to them, making it easy to find the smoking area. * The staff constantly strive to keep the building clean. They were even using a stepladder to clean the area above the lockers on the 2nd floor (amazing!). * The staff are constantly moving around in the bathroom, tidying up the sauna mats and washing area. They do this frequently, which is wonderful. * There's "real charcoal" in the toilet. Amazing. * **All the washrooms in the 2nd-floor locker rooms have chairs, so you can sit and brush your teeth.** There's a wide variety of styling products available, including plenty of toothbrushes, razors, and towels. * **The high-temperature sauna is spacious and seems to have löyly events.** It even has two heaters? It was around 98°C. * **The backrests in the high-temperature sauna are comfortable to lean against and slightly raised, fitting snugly to your back.** The wood color was different, so perhaps they replace it regularly? * **The rooftop open-air bath has four adjustable relaxation beds. They can also be made completely flat.** * **The rooftop is open to the sky, allowing you to lie down and relax while looking at the sky.** There's also some pleasant music playing. * **The backrests in the open-air bath aren't rough, making them easy to lean against.** * **The edges of each step on the stairs leading to the rooftop have a non-slip surface, even for bare feet.** - The temperature of the cold bath was just right for me, making it easy to stay in for a long time (I estimate it was around 22 degrees Celsius), and the depth was also good. - The low-temperature sauna with a footbath (I think it was around 75 degrees Celsius) allowed for a thorough steaming experience. - Both the high and low temperature saunas had TVs. - There was a water dispenser right next to the bathroom entrance. And the water was ice-cold. - The towels were the right size and thickness. They were easy to handle in the bathroom and also good for drying off after getting out of the bath. - The dining area on the 10th floor had many tatami rooms, making it comfortable to relax. All the menu items looked delicious. The drink that was a mix of Oronamin C and Yakult was delicious (I forgot the name). - They give you a receipt for what you order. I didn't take one since I was paying at checkout anyway, but it would be good for people who want to know "how much did I spend on what I ate?" - The whole building felt like a luxurious, long-established hotel with a bubbly atmosphere. It was understated yet stylish. - There was a trouser press in the locker room on the 2nd floor? There are two of them! - There was also a paid charging system nearby. Even flip phones work!? - There's a cleaning reception counter. Probably for business travelers. - 24-hour sauna. Really??? - The bath with water falling in a straight line like a waterfall is interesting. The force of the falling water seems like it would cure stiff shoulders. - You can choose different types of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap from the provided selection (you pick them yourself from a corner). - The razor head moves up and down (important!), making shaving easy. - The shaving foam has a dense lather and seems to contain menthol? It feels amazing after shaving and rinsing. I'm going to buy some. - There's a head massage brush. It's a bit firm. - The shower isn't the type you have to press each time; it doesn't stop automatically. - The interior light of your capsule is on, and the number displayed at the capsule entrance is illuminated with up and down arrows, making it easy to find your capsule right away. - The design around the switches inside the capsule is retro and nice. It has a sense of history. - The green light for "video" doesn't seem to be a switch. But what happens when you press a certain number on the TV remote...? - The reception staff are all very polite and provide excellent service. - There's also a scented bath that changes daily and by time of day? - The vending machine lineup seemed to be tailored to each type of cigarette. - There's a vending machine for bottled milk and other drinks in the 2nd-floor locker area. It's great that they seem to have thought about the flow of people coming back to get their phones or cigarettes after their bath. - There are air fresheners scattered on top of the 2nd-floor lockers. The sauna and cold plunge pool itself were good. The fact that you can't bring in food or drinks, and can't even drink the water, is a bit of a drawback.

I stayed in a private room, but this isn't a capsule hotel in the traditional sense. It's helpful that there's a desk and a locker in the room. I appreciate that there's no requirement to use headphones. The lobby is staffed, and the service is on par with a luxury hotel, giving it a high-class feel. The sauna is available 24 hours a day, which is a great help. Thank you for the wonderful service.

The main sauna is very spacious and wonderfully hot. However, the cold plunge pool might be a little lukewarm. Also, the cold plunge pool seems a bit small compared to the size of the sauna. There was a line to get into the cold plunge pool after the sauna. But considering its proximity to the station and the price, I'm very grateful.

The facilities are spacious and clean, the sauna is large, and there's even an open-air bath – it's fantastic!

I always use this hotel whenever I come to Hakata. The sauna was very relaxing. I would like to stay here again.
