When we arrived, the amazing lady at reception kindly let us check in early as our room was already cleaned. She was so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating — such a lovely first impression! We booked the bungalow for just one night, but I would definitely recommend staying for at least two nights so you have enough time to truly enjoy everything. Honestly, it felt like a dream. Everything was perfect! The dinner buffet was actually very good, with fresh tuna, kingfish salad, cheese, and more. The homemade crème brûlée and chocolate mousse were absolutely incredible! 😍 The breakfast buffet is basic but good enough to fill your belly before heading out for a great snorkeling session. 5 stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely amazing. Three nights in an over water bungalow is enough tho. The food is actually pretty good for a pacific island, but expensive, the service is ok. Nothing to complain about. It’s better than the website photos. Best snorkelling I’ve ever experienced. Turtles swimming past while I had a shower. Paradise.
Absolutely beautiful location and resort layout. Sunsets from the Overwater bungalow or the pool bar were magic. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Snorkeling right off the bungalow was surprisingly good
Paradise! 🤩🏝️🪸
Our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Îlot Maitre was nothing short of absolute paradise and, without a doubt, one of the most amazing hotel experiences we have ever had. We stayed in a beautiful water bungalow, located right at the edge of an enormous reef. The setting was simply breathtaking. The water was so crystal clear, calm and transparent that we could see an incredible variety of fish, the most beautiful sea snakes and, most importantly, huge sea turtles every single day. The best part was that we didn’t even need to snorkel — we could simply sit on our terrace and watch them swimming right in front of us. It was truly magical and something we will never forget. From our balcony, we also had the most spectacular sunset views, together with an incredible panoramic view across the mainland coast. The combination of the turquoise water, the reef, the wildlife and the sunsets made us feel as though we had stepped into another world. The bungalow itself was absolutely out of this world. It was beautifully and tastefully furnished with stunning, high-end designer furniture, everything felt brand new and recently renovated, and the huge TVs in both the living room and bedroom were a wonderful touch. The bathroom was enormous and beautifully designed, and the panoramic sea views throughout the room were simply unbeatable. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, especially the reception team. A very special mention must go to Mr. Alexis from reception, who was probably one of the nicest and most genuinely warm people we have ever met. He made us feel so welcome from the very beginning. Upon arrival, we were even given a lovely luggage tag featuring a picture of the island, as well as freshly baked homemade cookies — such a thoughtful and personal gesture that immediately made us feel at home. The housekeeping team were also lovely and did a great job. There was honestly nothing to complain about. From the extraordinary location and breathtaking wildlife to the beautiful bungalow and genuinely wonderful staff, everything was perfect. We felt completely spoiled and truly lived in paradise during our stay. We will absolutely come back and would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable tropical experience. A genuine five-star experience — and one we will remember forever! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
