Chelsea Park Motor Lodge Nelson

Loved our stay in this motel. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was really spacious (we had an upstairs 1 bedroom spa room) with a lovely sunny balcony. Location was great super close walking distance to town. Definitely recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the Chelsea Park Motor Lodge in Nelson, NZ. The hotel is very well situated just 15 minute walk from the city centre providing convenient access to shopping, art galleries, museums, and gardens. The room was clean, spare but smartly furnished, opening to a small private garden with its cute bistro set. There were enough towels provided on an electric drying rack and the bathroom had all the necessary supplies. The kitchenette was very well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, stove top and electric frying pan. Internet service was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful; we could even use the hotel laundry facilities for a small fee. Private parking is very tight so it is best to park earlier in the afternoon. One day we could not find a spot, so the owner kindly allowed us to park in the only reserved parking spot. I highly recommend this hotel.

Two bedroom apartment had lovely windows that let in the breeze. Room was clean and well appointed. 10 minute walk to town and/or supermarket. Conveniently, they also had 5 bikes for riding which you can reserve for 25 nzd a day. Remember there’s no Ubers here so get a rental or pick up the taxi business card at the front desk. Owners and staff live close by and are responsive even in the evening. Relaxing stay.

My partner and I stayed at Chelsea Park in Nelson for 4 days and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and there was daily room service which we really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially the owner, Carey, who gave us great suggestions on places to visit in Nelson. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Very friendly helpful staff. They have multiple EV chargers available. Room was clean and well equipped. It was ideal for us.

Everything about staying here was great. The bed was great, the water pressure was great and it was quiet. Helpful and attentive owners too!

This motor lodge has a new owner who was very easy to deal with and nice . The rooms are super clean and reasonably equipped. We found the room quiet and had cooling system in summer. We were really impressed the owner closed service for two days to allow his staff to have a holiday. Also massive bonus this motel is dog friendly. We would love to stay again
