Scotty and Mal's (stylisé S&M's) est un bar à cocktails et lounge gay dédié sur la partie haute de Cuba Street à Te Aro. La salle au niveau de la rue est un bar à cocktails intime, tandis qu'un espace de spectacle au sous-sol accueille des spectacles de drag, des concerts et les soirées "Bingay" de bingo drag de longue date le mercredi. Il attire une foule queer chaleureuse et mixte et est l'un des deux seuls bars LGBTQ+ dédiés de la capitale. Ouvert du mardi au dimanche à partir de la fin d'après-midi (fermé le lundi), il se trouve à quelques pâtés de maisons de l'Ivy Bar & Cabaret, ancrant la bande queer de Cuba Street à Wellington.

What a delight it was for us to discover this bar on our recent trip to Wellington. Scotty and Mal are consummate hosts who care about every detail in this bar. So many could learn from their approach and attention to detail. Cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. Finn deserves an award!

We dropped in for pre-dinner drinks having never even heard of Scott and Mal’s before. It’s a really cozy bar and the photos on the walls are definitely an eclectic collection, including some New Zealand (and international) icons. The host was very convivial and the whole package is, well, just fabulous.
