ในห้วงเวลานี้ เราปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าประเทศไทยกำลังก้าวสู่ ‘ไพรด์ไทม์ (Pride Time)’ ช่วงเวลาที่ความหลากหลายเบ่งบานบนกระแสสังคมไทย ทั้งชัยชนะของสมรสเท่าเทียม การเสนอตัวเป็นเจ้าภาพ WorldPride 2030 ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นคือสังคมที่ซาบซึมและเข้าใจความหลากหลายมากยิ่งขึ้น

องค์กรจำนวนมากต่างพูดถึง Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) เห็นได้จากนโยบายส่งเสริมความหลากหลาย การเพิ่มสัดส่วนผู้หญิงในตำแหน่งบริหาร การรับพนักงาน LGBTQIN+ การจ้างงานคนพิการ ตลอดจนกิจกรรม Pride Month แต่มีคำถามหนึ่งที่สำคัญ คนที่มีความหลากหลายนั้น กล้าพูดในสิ่งที่ตัวเองคิดจริงหรือไม่?

ถ้าคนหลากหลายสามารถเข้ามาทำงานในองค์กรได้ แต่ยังไม่กล้าพูด ไม่กล้าแสดงความคิดเห็น หรือแม้แต่ไม่กล้าเล่าถึงตัวตนที่แท้จริง เราจะเรียกพื้นที่นั้นว่า Inclusive Organizations ได้เต็มปากจริงหรือ?

In this moment, it’s hard to deny that Thailand is entering a “Pride Time”—a period when diversity is flourishing in the public spotlight, from the milestone of marriage equality to the country’s bid to host WorldPride 2030, and to a society that is increasingly learning, absorbing, and understanding diversity more deeply.

Many organizations now speak about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We see it in diversity policies, efforts to increase the number of women in leadership roles, the hiring of LGBTQIN+ employees, employment of people with disabilities, and Pride Month activities. But there is one crucial question: Do people from diverse backgrounds truly feel safe enough to speak up and say what they really think?

If people can enter an organization but still don’t dare to speak, don’t dare to share their opinions, or don’t even dare to talk about who they truly are—can we honestly call that place an inclusive organization?
Because diversity doesn’t end with having “different people” in the room. It starts to have real meaning when those people feel they have space, they have a voice, and they don’t have to live at work in a constant state of self-protection.

This is where the concept of psychological safety inevitably intersects with DEI.
