Hôtel ibis Antwerpen Centrum

Unbelievable to welcome guests with so much dirty, noisy construction work. Unacceptable from an Accor brand.

Booked a room online with an early check in option from 09:00am, went there at 10:00am and they tell me they got no rooms and if i wait they might get me a room around 15:00pm, how can there be no rooms available if i already booked one.

It was unfortunate that there was a considerable amount of work going on at the ibis during our weekend stay. The positive is it's in a great location if you're visiting Antwerp as they hold a market in the square right outside the hotel (highly recommend having a wonder round). It's also only a 10-minute walk from the railway station.

The hotel and room were terrible. The service was good.

The hotel is very centrally located in the city. Everything is easily accessible on foot. My room facing the courtyard was up to the usual Ibis standard: rather small, but clean and functional with a very comfortable bed and not too expensive. Unfortunately, there is currently construction work in the building, which wasn't mentioned when booking, resulting in annoying noise. The room had a kettle with a few instant coffee sachets, etc. Unfortunately, the water wasn't replenished, and the used cups were left dirty. The card reader for activating both elevators wasn't working, so anyone could easily enter the building and access the floors, especially since there was often no one at reception. On the morning of my departure, the Wi-Fi was temporarily down. Booking online through Accor wasn't as pleasant as usual either. I was held up for a few minutes during the booking process, and when I tried to continue, the price had increased—mind you, I was logged in and the booking was already in progress. What a coincidence… Next time, I'll cancel the booking and find somewhere else.

My experiences with this hotel are generally good to very good. I found the room a bit cramped, but the room was neat and clean. There was also a renovation going on, of which I was informed during the booking. They started drilling early, and I found that disturbing. I would do that in the afternoon if you have guests. Otherwise, I am satisfied.

One of the worst hotel experiences, ever! Half of the hotel is under heavy construction, there's no lobby at all and the hallway on the 3rd floor looked like the hotel is about to be torn down. Dust and dirt everywhere. Nobody vacuumed these areas during our entire stay... it looked like in the photos from the first to the last minute. And the worst: Nobody informed us about this unacceptable situation before our arrival. We have booked through the Accor App and will make this an official complaint.

I found it worst of all that they didn't even mention that renovations were taking place on the ground floor... otherwise, location fine, bed fine, but not big, and the rest? Certainly not what we had expected and certainly not compared to what was advertised on the site. What we had: Room small, bathroom small and narrow, the TV only worked for 2 channels and the picture flickered all the time so watching TV comfortably wasn't really an option. The only thing that was correct was that there was a spacious desk and that was true, but the desk and the bathroom were the same length... The site was very unclear as to whether breakfast was included or not. Upon arrival, we were not asked if we wanted breakfast after all. Simply not what we had expected from the hotel and we certainly won't be coming back. A shame because the city of Antwerp was really amazing.

Very good hotel for its category. At a good price and in a nice and quiet area that has everything around, close to the station.
