Hôtel Priorij Corsendonk

Ok it's only a 3 star hotel but it was still rather underwhelming for the price. The room was basic, showerscreen was nonfunctional, towels were thin and small, and the hot breakfast was decidedly cold and had to be reheated. Smoked salmon and cheeses were drying out and curling at the edges. There was no basic English breakfast tea. The rooms are a long walk out in the open to the restaurant and reception. I had to ask for a hairdryer. On the plus side the buildings are beautiful and location was pleasantly bucolic but rather isolated. We had booked to come again in August when the price was going to be sixty euros more but decided against it.

This abbey is situated in the woods. Unfortunately, there are no rooms in the main building, but in two large outbuildings. From there, you can easily walk to the breakfast room or bar. You can also enjoy sitting outside there. Breakfast is fine, with something for everyone. Personally, I find the price-quality ratio a bit on the high side. The room is okay; there is no air conditioning, so on warm days the room temperature can rise, especially if you are under the roof. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. Parking can be a problem in the evening if a party is being held.

Beautiful place to completely unwind! Very tasty food too. We had a work conference here and everything was very well organized.

Nice central point while cycling

Beautiful location, but the food for groups is extremely minimal. (Everyone was hungry) Service is poor, and there were makeup stains on my pillow and stains on the bedding.

Booked a room with 2 person bed, we got the spare room with 2 separate beds. Hall smelly. No compensation possible.

We held our international sales meeting for the "Water is Life Group" here at Priorij Corsendonk, and we from OSNA Pumps were also there. The main building is beautifully renovated and houses a large dining room in the basement, wonderfully decorated with tapestries and other features. The upper floors offered ample space for presentations, and there were smaller rooms for various workshops. The food was first-class, the beer was home-brewed, and everything was served with great care. The sleeping quarters were in an annex, which was very convenient, as it allowed colleagues in the main building to enjoy a few drinks, and the sleeping quarters were nice and quiet. The rooms are spacious, a bit dated, but clean. Everything fits in perfectly with the overall impression.

After leaving my room tidy during my stay, they randomly charged me an unjustified damage fee. I wouldn't stay here again. If you do, keep this in mind. I also found the email service unfriendly, but phone contact was otherwise fine!
