A magical and enchanting place on the banks of the Meuse where time stands still! Villa Balat is a haven of peace that exudes a gentle way of life, tranquility, refinement, and warmth. Every detail is impeccable; each object seems to have been chosen with such care and passion. Everything is beautiful! Everything is delicate and elegant. Thank you to Muriel and Bernard for their attentive welcome in this idyllic setting, and the garden is a pure marvel. The rooms are magnificent and very comfortable. The breakfasts, made with excellent local products, are simply divine. Not to mention Muriel's generosity, her helpfulness, her smiles, and her extraordinary joie de vivre. Everything was PERFECT and made our stay from April 24th to 27th, 2026, unforgettable. Thank you for this enchanting interlude... this dream come true!

A magnificent stay at Muriel's! An incredible villa: the location, architectural style, interior spaces and layout, decor, and walled garden are all superb. Stepping into this home is like taking a journey back in time. I stayed in the charming, comfortable (oh, that handcrafted horsehair mattress!) and quiet Anna Boch room, overlooking the leafy, flower-filled garden. Breakfast, featuring local or homemade products chosen from the menu the day before, is delicious, enhanced by the view of the Meuse River and the Citadel. Muriel and her husband's warm welcome reflects the beauty of their home. You truly feel at home. An exceptional experience that I fully intend to repeat.

A timeless moment. A warm and friendly welcome. The decor is exquisite. At every turn, your eye is drawn to a detail, a vase, a painting... We enjoyed a delicious breakfast before reluctantly taking our leave.

Extraordinary house, in possibly the very best location in the city. It’s a beautiful and deeply romantic stay, with a warm and generous host, and especially the room with the glass-covered terrace is really something else. A book overlooking the river, an extended bath and a lavish breakfast in a gilded front room, and you won’t have a care left in this world. Very much recommended!

We wanted a place that would leave a lasting impression… and Villa Balat was an absolutely perfect choice. The house is magnificent, elegant, warm, full of charm, and boasts a breathtaking view. You feel right at home. The bedding is high-quality and incredibly comfortable! Every detail is carefully considered, from the decor and ambiance to the little touches that make all the difference. Breakfast is a true delight: quality products, everything is fresh, beautifully presented… you really have time to savor it. And what can we say about Muriel? Available, smiling, attentive, and incredibly kind. She contributes enormously to the wonderful atmosphere of the place. Honestly, it's hard to imagine anything better in Namur. Our guests were won over, and so were we.

An overnight stay at Villa Balat is a delightful and spectacular escape. From the moment you arrive, Ms. Muriel ensures you have the perfect stay. You almost feel at home. During our visit, we stayed in the Balat room, which offers a superb view of the Meuse River and the Citadel in the background, from both the bedroom and the conservatory. The bathtub, positioned in the center of the bathroom, invites you to unwind. The living room, equipped with a wood-burning stove, brightens the atmosphere and encourages you to relax in an armchair with a good book. The style of the house transports you to another era. Once you experience it, you'll want to return.

A wonderful place to explore the surprising city of Namur! A prime location (everything within walking distance), stunning views, warm and cozy rooms, a delicious breakfast overlooking the water, and a very attentive hostess. We would love to come back!
