Clean hotel with spacious rooms and very well located for visiting Prague. Complete and varied breakfast. Smiling and pleasant staff. Parking in the hotel courtyard. Nothing to complain about. Very good and beautiful place
Very well located hotel and a wonderful balcony. Also breakfast continental as you don't get a full irish breakfast. But it was lovely and fresh the night manger can't remember his name but loves the WWE was extremely pleasant and full of information. Also same as Marcela very helpful and great customer service, highly recommended. Great views close to restaurants, pubs ant transport what else do you need. And shout out to the cleaners place was spotless.
We were 6 nights at Hotel Julian and really appreciated the following: + clean and spacious junior suite for three people on the 5th floor with several seating areas + well-functioning air conditioning, comfortable beds + rooftop terrace with afternoon tea + welcome drink + friendly staff at the reception + very good location, we were quickly at the sights by tram + fruits and baked goods changed daily We liked the following less: - selection at the breakfast buffet, the breads and also the fruits always seemed prepared the day before, the juices are not good
We spent 5 nights at the hotel. The rooms were nice and appealing, and the breakfast was also very good. Everything was clean and made a well-maintained impression. The service at the hotel was also very good. Only note: a few small things in the rooms are in need of repair.
Top hotel, breakfast first-class as always. The staff is very friendly and the location is top-notch.
We can only agree with the positive comments. Marcela helped us wonderfully with storing our bicycles. Thanks to her friendly and competent introduction, we felt comfortable immediately. Her tips for suitable restaurants were very helpful. The hotel's location is very good, very close to the Vltava River on the left bank. Very nice rooftop terrace, good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Absolutely recommended!
I just spent 4 nights at Hotel Julian in Prague. It's a lovely hotel with old world charm. The room was very nice and the wall-mounted A/C worked very well to keep things cool. The only minor issues were that the location of the bathroom make-up mirror made it nearly unusable (although I did appreciate that a magnifying mirror was provided!), and there are no handhold bars getting out of the tub. The tub was very slippery and the base was much higher than the bathroom floor, making exit with wet feet a bit hazardous, so take extra care not to ruin your trip with a fall! I appreciated that the towel rack was electric (rather than tied into the building heating system) so I could still use it to dry clothing, even though it's summer. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was roomy. My room faced out to the street and there was very little noise except for one morning when there was construction work happening on the sidewalk outside. Staff was friendly each time I came or left. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. The location is great, away from the heavy tourist areas and crowds. There are two tram stations on the block behind the hotel (Arbesovo náměstí and Švandovo divadlo) and it is super easy to figure out which tram goes to your destination based on the posted signs. #9 is perfect to get to Old Town and it also goes to the main train station. #12 connecting to #22 gets you to Prague Castle. (Note, if you are 65+, trams and metro are free, so you can just hop on and off without a ticket. You must carry your passport though, in case an inspector wants to check it. Or you can use a national ID card. US Drivers license is supposedly not enough.) I ate nearby at Pasta Fidli Pizzeria (just around the corner, lovely place that hires disabled workers to help them gain skills) and at Shrimii Kitchen just down the street (delicious Asian fusion, probably should make a reservation there rather than hope for a walk-in spot).
What a lovely small hotel off the beaten path, but not far from all the sites. We prefer the quiet of the new town, knowing that we could easily access the old town within a 10 minute walk. Marcela, the hotel caretaker, greeted us upon our arrival and shared lots of useful information about the neighborhood including where to grab lunch (Srnky Simchov near the small neighborhood park). The area is full of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, a few neighborhood pubs, a local shopping mall, and a gelateria (check out Angelato), but it feels like there are more locals than tourists, which is what we prefer. As for the hotel itself, the room was very spacious and quiet. Hardly ever heard noise from any of the other guests and the beds were very comfortable. We’re a family of 3, which means we usually need a larger queen/king size bed and a smaller twin-size bed. I would say this was the most comfortable twin size bed my son has slept in on our travels. Breakfast was perfect. Broad range of savory items: eggs, meat, vegetables, some sweets and coffee. Forgot to mention the rooftop terrace, which unfortunately we never had time to enjoy. If we’re in Prague again, we will definitely return and spend more time on that terrace.
Fantastic location out of Old Town tourism. The hotel was charming, clean and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the roof top had an amazing view. The hotel was very welcoming. Highly recommend it.
Hotel Julian is a wonderful hotel. We would happily stay here again. Many hotels have great, well-trained staff with positive attitudes and fine amenities such as a good breakfast and a convenient location. Hotel Julian has all of this, but it is the little things that have a huge positive impact. Tea is served, with pastries, in the library daily between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. A pleasant roof top bar to relax and unwind in our downtime is available. A complimentary, welcome drink was offered my wife and me upon our arrival. My biggest surprise was the note and chocolates wishing me Happy Birthday. None of us had mentioned my birthday to the management during our stay, they simply took it upon themselves to notice and offer the Birthday good wishes. Thank you, Hotel Julian!
