Restaurant Son'

We went to dinner at Son', which had been highly recommended to us. We had a wonderful evening; the setting (the dining room with its open kitchen) is warm and beautifully decorated. In addition to being a feast for the eyes, it's a true culinary experience from the very beginning of the meal. You're transported to an exceptional world of creativity and flavor. We can't wait to discover the next course! We were also very touched by the chef's thoughtful gesture of serving us dessert with a rose to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. In conclusion, we highly recommend this restaurant. We had a fantastic evening and can't wait to go back.

So, it was a very pleasant surprise. When I booked the five- or six-course tasting menu, after consulting a few reviews, I knew we were in for a very high-quality restaurant. When my wife and I arrived, the warm welcome and the style of the dining room immediately put us at ease. We were able to choose our table, and then the menus were brought to us. The first surprise came when we opened them: we started with a story. The text on the menu was written backwards, requiring a mirror (provided) to decipher it. And, according to the head waitress, Leonardo da Vinci used this method to keep some of his writings less accessible... We'll let you discover that for yourselves. And so it was with each dish, a story to accompany unique creations, where the chef's research and imagination were there to astonish, delight, and lead us to experiences we hadn't imagined. And always accompanied by a story, anecdotes, and explanations, including for the wines (we opted for the wine pairing option), allowing us to understand what we were drinking and why it complemented our meal. Right up to dessert, a huge surprise, where the chef himself came to explain it to us. In short, everything about this place offers a truly immersive and experiential escape, punctuated by some truly incredible moments. You can feel that everyone in this restaurant is dedicated to making it an unforgettable experience... Bravo and keep it up!

We went to Son’ on Wednesday night and it was honestly spectacular. From the minute we arrived, you could tell the team genuinely care about what they do — the service was warm, attentive and incredibly thoughtful throughout. The food was exceptional, but what really made it special were all the little surprises along the way. We had flavours, combinations and experiences we’d genuinely never had before, and half the fun was not quite knowing what was coming next. It’s creative without trying too hard, incredibly well executed, and just a really memorable evening from start to finish. A very special find in Bordeaux. Definitely not just dinner — it’s an experience, and an absolute must-do. We left very happy, very full, and with quite a lot to talk about afterwards!

Breathtaking! Exceptional creativity, where the presentation is always in service of the flavors. We opted for the six-course tasting menu with wine pairings and went from (pleasant) surprise to (excellent) discovery. Undeniably a truly unique gastronomic restaurant!
