The team here is so lovely! You feel completely comfortable and well cared for, you can ask questions about anything, and the doctors were both incredibly empathetic and kind :)

I have to give them a huge compliment! An empathetic, very friendly, well-organized, and professional team that really takes its time and explains everything from the initial consultation to the test and the results, putting you at ease. No assembly-line approach here; everything is done calmly and with a genuine sense of respect for each individual. Bright, welcoming rooms, which is always important to me. The tests are anonymous and very affordable. Appointments are available online on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (It's best to book shortly after midnight, as they fill up very quickly.) Of course, you also have the option of speaking with a psychologist on-site after receiving a positive result! No one is left alone here. A big thank you to the team. I'll definitely be doing my next tests with you again. :) All the best!

Dear Berlin AIDS Help e.V. Team, Your name truly reflects your commitment! I left a worried call early Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. and was even called back. The reason for my call was a sudden onset of symptoms: a dry cough, fever, joint and back pain, weakness… Even though I started PEP 61 hours after my initial contact with the doctor, I panicked because of the symptoms. The very competent Lars asked me a series of questions to understand my situation and offer personalized advice. In short: "There's currently a severe wave of COVID-19/influenza going around in Germany, and that's why I should get a COVID-19 test and drink some tea." Thank you, Lars, for reassuring me with your 30 years of experience and the right questions.

I find it embarrassing that the Berlin AIDS Help organization has once again failed to put on the Artists Against AIDS Gala. This never happened under previous leadership. Even more strange is the fact that the cancellation notice isn't signed by anyone. Up until now, all the artists performed for free, and the Theater des Westens likely didn't charge a standard fee either. This is how you take an organization out of the public eye, and then you're surprised when donations dwindle. Keep it up. It's ridiculous that the German AIDS Help organization manages to put on its gala every year at the Deutsche Oper.

No one contacted me back then with my important concerns as a newly infected person. Not even doctors' offices were recommended. I was told to Google it… Leaving my contact information didn't help. The staff advised me against visiting the café there: it wouldn't be appropriate for someone my age. 🤡

When I received my HIV diagnosis, I was allowed to go in once. They said they would get back to me… but nobody cared, and nobody ever did. I was seriously ill and devastated at the time.

They were very nice and helpful back then, but things have become very complicated lately, and you don't get much help, disappointing.
