About this place Berliner Aids-Hilfe

Berliner Aids-Hilfe, founded in 1985, is a non-profit that helps people with HIV and AIDS in Berlin. They're a trusted resource for the LGBTQ+ community and anyone after sexual health information. They give support on HIV, AIDS, hepatitis, and other STIs. You can get confidential advice, educational materials, or just talk to someone who knows what they're doing. The organization reaches people in a few ways. There's a counseling center for in-person visits, but volunteers also answer calls if you'd rather talk privately from a distance. They even do prevention work in prisons and with young people, focusing on vulnerable groups across Berlin. If you're in Berlin and need sexual health info, support, or just want to learn about HIV prevention and care, this is a welcoming spot. Trained volunteers get what LGBTQ+ visitors need. For practical advice, emotional support, or general sexual health questions, check their website or counseling services. You'll find them at Kurfürstenstraße 130.

I had a very positive experience at Berliner Aids-Hilfe. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. The staff took the time to clarify the confusion and worries. They truly go one step further to help with genuine care and compassion. Thank you for the amazing work you do. I highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for help.

German: Very competent and friendly staff, from the reception to the doctors. The best medical care I have in Germany. At other clinics, the prices are incredibly high and friendly – and I'm sure they'll be able to help patients with urgent requests. Russian: Extremely competent and friendly people, from the reception to the doctors. The best medical experience in Germany. Compared to other clinics, the prices are incredibly low and affordable, not to mention the option for low-income people.

First, the positives: The doctor who drew my blood made a very friendly impression and made me feel safe. The staff at reception upon my arrival were also very friendly. I also consider the price of €45 for all the tests to be fair. On the negatives: At the beginning, I checked "hetero" on a questionnaire regarding my sexuality. However, during the consultation, I was asked if I was an "MSM"—an abbreviation I hadn't heard of before. After the term was explained, I answered no, and was then rather bluntly asked, "Why not?" This left me somewhat speechless and quite unsettled, as I felt pressured into the uncomfortable position of having to justify my sexuality. I would actually like to deduct even more stars for this, but the facility and its dedication don't deserve it.

Super professional, empathetic, and competent. All processes are explained transparently, and confidentiality and anonymity are guaranteed. Nick is fantastic! You immediately feel well taken care of. Plus, the tests are extremely affordable. Thank you!
