I really enjoyed stay in this hotel, room was nice but small, I found a hair in the shower, but it’s didn’t spoiled my stay, staff were nice, good location

Perfect location near the train station in Hamburg. Good rooms, good breakfast and above all cheap!

My bed was double booked so I had to move at 11am when I came back from being out, which is unfair/annoying considering I was there first, otherwise it's fine for the price or a short stay of one night which is what I did.

The location is great. The rooms are average. The lack of towels and the cramped shower/toilet area are shortcomings. It's nice that there are events in the Barbaros area. It was unpleasant when a large security guard inexplicably told us to vacate the terrace area while we were sitting there.

It could be improved in many ways, but it's still a sufficient solution for budget travelers. I stayed in a dorm for six nights. ❌ In the midst of its degradation—I fully realize that the hostel has no influence on the surrounding situation (though perhaps constant reporting to the local police would change things? I imagine we're the victims of a broken system), but I was quite shocked by the degradation around the hostel entrance, which essentially overlooks a dimly lit square. I'd like to give a few examples, but the list isn't exhaustive: One evening, while I was working on my computer, a girl approached the large window overlooking my desk and repeatedly made herself vomit directly onto the glass. One evening, I witnessed a fight (which ended badly) between homeless people. From my bedroom window, I could see the incessant sale of drugs. The hostel entrance is always surrounded by dubious characters, people on the floor openly using drugs, at all hours. ❌ Cleanliness is barely adequate. Needs improvement. For example, the common areas (especially the first floor) have dirty sofas. However, I've always found the shared bathrooms to be very clean. ❌ Breakfast - the price (7 euros) is excessive for the truly basic and low-quality offerings. ✅ Security staff at the entrance both day and night. Very kind! ✅ As a girl with long hair, I loved the desk area in the shared room. The large mirror and powerful hairdryer made everything easier! ✅ Super location, you're on the subway in a flash. There are also plenty of e-bikes/scooters for rent. ✅ Good cafes nearby and plenty of affordable lunch/dinner options nearby (including, and especially, inside the central station). ✅ Hearty breakfast and plenty of space to relax or use the computer/work. ✅ Comfortable bed and huge, perfect storage space for backpacks!

Since the hostel opened, I've stayed there 2-3 times a year in an 8-bed dorm, always great people and staff, now due to corona, 2-bed rooms like Kaiser Bravo.

Quite okay! Considering it's a cheap hostel it was absolutely okay, but no more. I stayed in a shared 4-bed room with 2 others. The bed was okay for sleeping one night, but not something I would recommend for several nights. The toilet was very small and had an "airplane toilet" feel. It was simply an okay accommodation considering the price. You got what you paid for and for a low budget trip it definitely worked. 3/5

The hostel's location is good; you can quickly get to the city center, etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is really cramped. You can't properly wash your face, and a pleasant shower isn't really possible. Unfortunately, the food was truly awful. The burger contained only half the portion a burger should have, with a much too small patty. The spaghetti dishes, with their hard, dried-out pasta (like it was from the day before), and the burnt Bolognese sauce, were simply inedible. So, it's fine for sleeping, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the food. After all, the food cost money, and expecting over €10 for it is outrageous.
