A really great concept and a cool design. Sustainability is clearly a top priority here! We had a small room, which was perfectly adequate. We felt comfortable. We can also highly recommend the breakfast – a fantastic selection.

The hotel's location was good, very close to the Deichtorhallen art galleries. I was there for work and could walk there, no problem at all. The main train station is also easily accessible on foot. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. I found the breakfast room very appealing. The rooms were clean. However, the hotel was a real disappointment. I travel a lot and am familiar with hotels in a wide range of price categories, including in Hamburg, but the Villa Viva simply didn't have any sense of reality regarding its prices. I had a double room. The room was very small; there wasn't even a small table or chair. There was a wardrobe, but no other storage space. On one side, between the bed and the window, there was a wooden panel at the same height that could be used, but you had to climb over the bed to reach it. The room looks like it's not quite finished. The ceiling isn't plastered, the walls are unfinished, and the floor is either screed or concrete. Even if it's part of the concept, everything was unfinished and carelessly arranged. For example, a bed tray hanging on the wall was attached to a hook with half the wall plug still sticking out. For business travelers: no iron, no mention of an in-house ironing service. I contacted the hotel twice before arrival, and each time my name was misspelled, despite my correction. That's simply unacceptable; they only need to copy the name from the form – a little attention to guests, please. The reason I contacted the hotel beforehand: I'm vegan and wanted to know if there were vegan options at the breakfast buffet. There were vegan options, and they were clearly marked, except for the bread. However, they weren't presented in the way the hotel advertised. Every ordinary hotel in Italy or Spain offers just as many vegan options, plus steamed vegetables. Sorry, Villa Viva, but I wouldn't be staying with you again. I paid over 200 euros for one night without breakfast, but it was nowhere near worth it. I've included a photo of the room to give you an idea of ​​its atmosphere.

We stayed there over the long weekend. The rooms have everything you need. The bathroom is a good size. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. There were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Everything was very sustainable, which fits perfectly with the hotel's concept. We'll definitely be back.

A really lovely hotel. The tiny rooms are truly tiny. The people are incredibly nice. A wider selection of vegan options at breakfast would be great, but otherwise, it was delicious.

Great hotel for a Hamburg city break We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Viva Hamburg. The location is excellent; many sights and the city center are easily accessible on foot or by public transport. The friendly, helpful, and competent staff deserves special mention; they were always available to answer questions and fulfill requests. While the rooms are rather compact, they are modern, clean, and very well-equipped. The entire hotel has a unique concept and a pleasant atmosphere that makes the stay a truly memorable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Villa Viva for a city break in Hamburg and would definitely return. Thank you for the wonderful time! 😊🏨🌆

We felt incredibly comfortable at Villa Viva! We absolutely loved the whole concept! The themes of water as a human right and sustainability are truly considered in every aspect, and there's an accommodation option for every budget. Simply fantastic! The staff were all incredibly friendly and relaxed, genuinely human and not at all like service robots. The room was beautifully designed, and our absolute favorites were the pillows and mattress! I've never slept so well in a hotel before. (The mattress is firm and incredibly comfortable. Perhaps not for everyone, but it was a godsend for my back.) We will definitely be back 😊
