Sunday Resort Schwielowsee - Hotel

Before our week-long stay, we had high expectations for the resort due to its 4-star superior rating and the information on its website. Before our arrival, we were informed that the resort had been sold and now had a new operator. On the positive side, the resort is very beautiful and in an excellent location. The combination of hotel rooms and holiday homes creates a pleasant atmosphere. The included bathrobes, provided towels, and the spa area with indoor and outdoor pools and saunas were also welcome. Unfortunately, these positive aspects were significantly overshadowed by numerous shortcomings. The biggest point of criticism is the overall disappointing service. Our holiday home was only inadequately cleaned during our stay. The beds were not made, even after we explicitly requested it, and the cleaning was essentially limited to the daily disposal of trash. This is unacceptable for a holiday home with several children! Upon arrival, we noticed that the dishes in the cupboard were dirty, the dishwasher had no rinse aid, and there was dirt and cobwebs on several windows. ... In addition, our vacation home wasn't available until after 5:00 PM on the day of our arrival. Despite booking for all registered guests, there weren't even enough beds when we arrived. Furthermore, in our opinion, there is a significant backlog of necessary investments and maintenance. The outdoor pool was only partially usable for several days because the water quality was severely compromised due to a broken pump. The indoor pool was so cold that we soon described it as "arctic water" and stopped using it altogether. The steam sauna was out of order for the entire duration of our stay (according to other reviews, this has apparently been the case for some time). Numerous other defects contributed to the overall impression of neglect: peeling paint on the vacation homes, badly weathered decking, rust stains on garden furniture, worn fixtures, visible and unrepaired signs of forced entry on the door hinge of our vacation home's entrance door, and a broken freezer compartment door. What was particularly frustrating was that several offers advertised on the website were actually unavailable. The boat rental was permanently closed, and no one could be reached at the listed phone number. The waterfront restaurant, advertised as a special highlight, was also closed for the entire duration of our stay. Another drawback is the food service. No meals are offered at lunchtime, forcing guests to leave the resort to get a snack or a small meal for children. We consider this unacceptable for a resort of this category. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi only worked in the main building, not in our holiday home. In summary, the resort boasts an attractive layout and generally good facilities. However, the inadequate service, numerous technical and visual defects, and the unavailable but advertised amenities are completely out of proportion to the expectations of a 4-star superior resort in this price range. Despite the fantastic location, we unfortunately cannot recommend this resort under the current circumstances. A real shame! Finally, we would like to mention that after several complaints regarding the lack of or insufficient cleaning of the holiday home, we ultimately received a discount at checkout.

We had to change rooms after one night because I was only sleeping in a cold room. The second room was much better. It's a very nice complex, but as already mentioned, there are some shortcomings. The staff was friendly. But 4 stars? No. And we're not spoiled. My husband went cycling; it's a very beautiful area for that.

We spent the Pentecost weekend at the resort on Lake Schwielowsee. The resort is very large and in a fantastic location right on the lake. The positives: Service & Flexibility: The receptionist was very friendly and answered all our questions competently. Since we spontaneously brought along a small additional guest for one night, this wasn't a problem at all – a bed was made up for us very quickly. Breakfast: The breakfast selection is very good; there really is something for everyone. The service staff in the breakfast area were also extremely friendly and attentive. Leisure: Renting SUPs and canoes went absolutely smoothly. What could be improved (points of criticism): Daytime dining: If you spend the whole day at the resort, the lunch and coffee options are unfortunately very limited. For example, there was no coffee and cake buffet. We also found the prices very expensive for what was offered. Noise level at breakfast: Since the hotel was fully booked over Pentecost, there were a lot of people in the restaurant at the same time. As a result, the noise level was unfortunately quite high. Outdoor pool: Although it was very warm this weekend, the outdoor pool wasn't filled with water until Friday evening. Consequently, the water never reached 15°C (59°F) all weekend and was far too cold for swimming. Beach area: The beach area directly on Lake Schwielowsee unfortunately didn't appear to be very well-maintained. Check-out: This was unfortunately the most negative aspect of our stay. We had to wait between 30 and 45 minutes. Some of the staff didn't speak German, which made communication very difficult. Online check-out would be a real improvement in the future. Conclusion: A lovely hotel in a great location with very helpful staff. If the check-out process, pool preparation, and daytime dining options are improved, we would gladly return!

We had an apartment and were completely satisfied with it. Very spacious with a large terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we noticed that the lawns in the entire resort weren't mowed, and the hedges weren't trimmed. A few other things could also use some maintenance or a fresh coat of paint. And this was during Pentecost weekend! There were also some issues with breakfast. Items kept running out and weren't replenished for ages. That's not up to 4-star standards. Otherwise, the location is absolutely fantastic for excursions in the surrounding area. Parking costs €12 per night.

A great resort with a wonderful lake view. After several changes in ownership, unfortunately, no further investments are being made, and it shows. No appreciation whatsoever for loyal, regular guests.

I've rarely seen a 4-star superior hotel/resort that truly doesn't deserve that classification. I'd be willing to accept a 3-star one. ... The first impression isn't great, but it couldn't get any more detailed. The reception was unfriendly and flippant, with hardly any German spoken. The rooms are okay, but the bathroom is disgusting. The tiny showers are so filthy, it looks like no brush has been used in years. There were no cushions for the patio furniture. The Nespresso machine is unusable without capsules. The bathroom only has one small shelf. The indoor pool was freezing cold at a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius. The outdoor pool was 11 degrees Celsius at Pentecost. If that's your thing... The sauna was okay, but the noise level from screaming children was exorbitant. It felt like a Robinson Club ball pit. The breakfast is extensive, but the quality is rather poor. Many bed and breakfasts are far superior. There's no storage or charging facilities for e-bikes. Room cleaning is done between 3 pm and 6 pm. I could go on and on, but nobody reads these reviews! ... In conclusion, for people seeking peace and quiet, wellness, and good food... you won't find it here. Only the high room rates suggest a 4-star+ rating!

Very nice place

A fascinating property with a cozy, architectural style. The service is friendly and always very attentive. Breakfast is plentiful. The combination of dishes at dinner was a bit odd (rosemary potatoes with creamed spinach). The price/performance ratio wasn't right. A quiet hotel, though a bit dated.

My wife and I treated ourselves to a few days at this luxurious hotel to kick off May. Of course, we arrived around 2 p.m. The room wouldn't be ready until 3 p.m. No problem, though; this gave us time to explore the hotel's location, the sunbathing lawns, and the small harbor. We were also offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco when we checked in. The restaurant prices are quite high, so we chose a similarly pricey option. Unfortunately, my wife didn't sleep well. It wasn't the large, continuous duvet that was the problem, but rather the indentation in the bed. Regarding the room not being ready: that couldn't be right, because I had to plug in all the TV, refrigerator, and other electrical appliances myself. So, changing rooms was no problem. The new room was significantly larger and more inviting. The bed itself was enormous. In short: we both slept very well. The hotel is a complex of several buildings. Why aren't there any lockable bicycle storage facilities? The outdoor pool is still dirty and unusable. The indoor pool is cold; apparently, the circulation pump is broken. There's no lighting in the shower area of ​​the sauna. Also, only two of the three panel showers were working because a knob was missing. Only two of the three saunas were operational. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. There was everything you could wish for. Everything was freshly prepared. Of course, it's worth mentioning that there was plenty of filter coffee to start the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices for an overnight stay are far above what one would call "good value for money." My conclusion: the accommodation is too expensive, and the breakfast and evening buffets are priced at the very top end. Otherwise, I can recommend the stay to anyone who wants to throw their money away! Happy Pentecost 2026 to you all.
