Ira Baths (Hera)

Ira Baths (Hera) is one of Athens' oldest gay bathhouses, tucked inside an arcade near Omonia Square in a space that once served as a traditional Turkish hammam. It's a more traditional, low-key alternative to the city's larger saunas, with a dry sauna, two play rooms, private cabins and a massage service. Opening hours run daytime into early evening (roughly 10:00 to 18:00, closed Tuesdays), so it draws a different, often older local crowd than the late-night Gazi venues. A quiet, unpretentious spot for relaxation and discreet encounters in the very centre of Athens.
