Hôtel Metaxa Heraklion

I rented two rooms and stayed in Heraklion for two nights and three days during the off-season in February 2026. It was busier than I expected, with lots of cars and people. Parking nearby was a challenge, but the reasonably priced paid parking lot right across from the hotel was a huge plus. Actually, the hotel was smaller than I expected, so I was a little skeptical about its five-star status. However, after meeting the staff and checking in, all my doubts vanished. I've been to many high-quality four-star hotels, but I once again realized that true hotel stardom comes from the quality of its service. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the amenities were excellent, and the breakfast was excellent. I asked many questions throughout the stay, and the staff were always very attentive and helpful. Thanks to them, I was able to create only comfortable and wonderful memories with my family.

Great experience, quiet, city centered hotel, excellent suites, polite staff. I will come back!

Very oddly designed rooms with the shower in the bedroom and the toilet in a small confined space.

Warm service. In the middle of Heraklion Centre, wonderful access to restaurants and shops in commercial streets. Room is small but it is a suite (2 rooms). The shower is in the middle of the bedroom.

Outstanding experience at Legacy Gastro Suites. Beautiful view of the port, comfortable accomodations, friendly staff and an overall warm environment. Will definitely recommend it to whomever is interested in traveling to Heraklion. I hope to visit again soon.

Legacy Gastro Suites is a very nice hotel with stylish rooms and excellent, service-oriented staff – you truly feel welcome and can relax here. Its location in the heart of Heraklion is perfect for exploring the city. Breakfast is good, but rather basic and not a buffet. My booking description stated a room with a sea view – you can indeed see the port of Heraklion, but I have a different idea of ​​what a "sea view" should be. Overall, however, it's a highly recommended hotel for a pleasant stay.
