Hôtel Ashley

Perfect location, nice staff and good service. The hotel and the rooms are old, but clean. I stayed in room number 1. It would be ok, but... Installing sharp, sticking out for about 10cm light switch just above your head is ridiculous. After hitting my head that switch two times, I wrapped it with my clean socks and sleeve of my hoodie. What is more, paying over €150 for one night stand for this kind of standard is another ridiculous thing.

Lovely stay, staff was super! I think that this is good value for money and hotel is located very centrally. Situated next to the road but didn’t hear anything using earplugs. Rooms are small and dated but the staff was super and room was very clean and comfortable. Car park is very tiny and it took me good 10 minutes to get out in the morning.

It is what it is... Don't expect a/c or plush rooms. It is clean and warm and the central location is great. Breakfast is a bit of a lottery, waiting far too long just for a pot of tea.

walking distance from centre and train station, staff were very warm and helpful. Accommodated our little requests and a good bar area for gathering the family members when required. Will probably return to the lovely city of Cork and stay here again

We paid €278 for two nights, plus €48 for breakfast, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The room was very small, with no wardrobe, and had a strong smell of damp and old furniture. The bed was extremely hard, and the pillows were so stiff that it was impossible to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was spacious but had only a bathtub with a curtain, which was uncomfortable for showering, and there was no floor towel. Breakfast was extremely basic — just two types of cheese and one type of ham in very tiny portions. The TV was very small and kept freezing while watching. Overall, the conditions were far below the price we paid. I would not recommend this B&B.
