Hôtel Isaacs Cork

We stayed here for a night a week or so ago during our trip to Ireland. Starting with the positives, the outdoor area is so cute and a really cool spot to sit and enjoy one of their quirky cocktails at the end of a long day. Our bartender, Isaac, was kind and knowledgeable and enhanced our experience. Breakfast in the morning was DELICIOUS and the selection was unmatched. Now for the negatives, start to finish. Upon arriving we realized the car park was not as close to the hotel as they had made it sound, especially when you are dragging luggage. The lifts in said car park were down, forcing us to walk around and around to get to the bottom floor. When we arrived at the hotel there wasn't anyone at the front desk and we spent a great deal of time waiting for someone to come and help us. The elevator is very small and we could not fit both of us and all of our suitcases in one go. Upon arriving to our room is was uncomfortably warm and we found out, after inquiring, that there was no air conditioning. Even with the windows open and a provided fan directing cool outdoor air into the room it was hard to get it to a comfortable temperature and this was in April. Another thing to note is that while this hotel has a bar and restaurant it is missing other desirable amenities like a pool or fitness center. Though there were things we enjoyed about our stay, I probably would not stay again.

Very bad room and the staff are not very good do not have breakfast

It is a wonderful place thanks to its location and possibilities. We stayed in an apartment equipped with a washing machine, oven, and dishwasher. The only drawback was that there was no elevator, and going up and down was a daily challenge. Special mention to the amazing team who looked after us: Víctor from Seville, Jessica, Francisca, Odhran, Laura from Galicia, Irina, Samuel from Portugal, and Fionn. Without their kindness, attention, and service, the trip would not have been the same.

Everything was fantastic: the location, the hotel, the apartment, the breakfast, and all the hotel staff. Special mention to Laura at reception and Victor at breakfast. Both were lovely, polite, and helpful, and they assisted me greatly with all my daily tasks, each in their respective roles. Although they seemed a bit overwhelmed with work on several occasions, they never lost their smiles.

Absolutely perfect.

Pros: snug, comfortable room. Bed was very comfy, especially the pillows. Very accessible, with an excellent elevator and walk in shower with a handle bar and nook to store shampoo. Shower was powerful and easy to operate. Toilet was also great. You're able to cast to the TV which is handy for watching films. Handy reading lights and blackout curtains. Air conditioning helped immensely with my allergies! The receptionist that was on at 6pm on the 15th of April was marvellous and exceptionally kind, accommodating and helpful. Speaking as someone with a massive special interest in Titanic, I loved the painting near the elevator. The atmosphere with the waterfall and garden is lovely, very "Bridge to Terabithia." Nice soaps and shower gel and plenty of storage. Cons: while the air conditioner was amazing, it did leak a little bit. Room was warm but this was easily rectifiable with the thermostat. The signal on the main TV channels wasn't great and the names of the shows were scrambled. Back of the bathroom door a bit grubby. Could do with extra bars in the shower (one half of the party has mobility issues). Very pricey without breakfast.

Absolutely wonderful, the staff were amazing! The rooms incredible! Both the bar and restaurants were a delight to us!

Excellent location and extremely helpful staff! We had a lot of questions and special requests; they took very good care of us. Would absolutely stay again with such a central location.

Great location, right in the centre of McCurtain Street, gorgeous hotel, clean, with a warm, sophisticated look

We loved this hotel right in the heart of the tavern and bar district. Central and beautiful. A good breakfast and nice rooms. The entrance is spectacular with a natural waterfall right at the door. And it's reasonably priced too.
