I think i have a disease now. DONT GO!!! It’s not safe and there’s a HORRIBLE SMELL

My experience at Toki Takai was the worst of my life. The reviews do not do this place justice — if anything, they make it seem better than it is. First of all, the building itself is very poorly frequented. Downstairs there’s an unbearable smell of weed. As soon as you enter the building, there’s a fire alarm that won’t stop ringing. When you get into the elevator, it feels like a cargo lift. On the first floor, where you exit, the floor is covered in stains and there’s a broken window. When you enter Toki Takai, the smell becomes UNBEARABLE. I cannot stress this enough. You literally cannot breathe. The bathroom was the worst bathroom I have ever been in. All bathrooms are shared — don’t let them fool you. The smell is overwhelmingly of curry and completely unbearable. There is no toilet paper. There is nothing. In our room, the door handle on both the inside and outside falls off completely and cannot be put back on. I really need people — especially girls — to understand where this place is and what it’s like. It is NOT safe. Do not come here. Run away. We stayed only one night, and I swear that not even if they paid me would I ever come back.

The dirtiest restrooms I've seen in years of traveling the world. If you find toilet paper in the middle of the night, consider yourself lucky, as there's rarely any. When I've complained about it, the response has been that it's the customers' fault. No comment. Avoid.

If I could give it a zero, I would. A SHAMEFUL experience, completely ruined by a receptionist who absolutely shouldn't be working with the public. A person incapable of providing coherent information, who says one thing on the phone and the exact opposite five minutes later, without the slightest embarrassment or sense of responsibility, wasting our TIME and MONEY through total incompetence. After kindly asking if it was possible to delay check-in (for a fee, of course), a service that is available in ALL hotels, my request was denied, complete with a threat, in the exact words: "Either you arrive by 10:00 or nothing will happen. I won't give you the keys." STUNNED by the arrogance she displayed after a simple and legitimate question, I nevertheless told her about our tight timeline due to a plane arriving from America in Venice, and explaining the situation very clearly (we had to pick up the group of NINE people at the airport ourselves), I asked her THREE TIMES if I could PERSONALLY pick up the keys very quickly to avoid delays or problems (the reservation was in my name), showing up with my ID and the tourist tax money ready. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THREE TIMES over the phone if it were possible to do so (to see if it was worth leaving the highway) and if it would be okay to send all the photos of the documents of the NINE people we were going to pick up at the airport via WhatsApp later, as soon as they disembarked. She replied YES THREE TIMES. Not "maybe," not "we'll see," but yes. Trusting her, we PURPOSELY exited the highway on our way to the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, this same person took her words back, suddenly changing her story and refusing to hand over the keys to me. She demanded all the documents right then and there, knowing FULLY that I didn't have them with me, because I'd repeated this THREE TIMES on the phone and we'd agreed I'd send them to her later via WhatsApp. She completely changed her story, as if she hadn't just said otherwise on the phone. She even blamed us for not being organized, when her INCOMPETENCE meant we wasted precious time. Thanks to the pressure and threats over the phone, the receptionist's total INCOMPETENCE, and after creating this total and USELESS confusion, we missed the arrival of the people at the airport and had to pay for an extra shuttle to get them to Padua. It was all avoidable. Caused by a receptionist who doesn't know what she's talking about, doesn't keep her word, and is incapable of handling a very trivial situation. I advise the hotel to seriously review their front desk staff, because someone like that scares away guests. Advice to future guests: don't trust a single word you say over the phone, because it could be contradicted upon arrival. A terrible experience. Avoid without hesitation.

I made a reservation on Booking.com for some employees who were working on a business trip to Padua. Upon arrival, the receptionist refused to accept the boys' documents, saying that the return of their residence permit was invalid. The payment had already been made and was non-refundable. I had already booked for the whole week. I had to ask the police to intervene, who arrived immediately and sorted everything out. It was a real shame. I thank the police officers for their prompt intervention.

Even one star is too much. The reception and rooms are in different buildings. The beds are narrow. The room is terribly small. The area is noisy. We couldn't find any information. We searched for everything ourselves. Not a word about the animals. The only positives are that it's warm and relatively clean.

I'll just say I booked for 3 nights, but after the first I ran to another B&B. The shared bathrooms are disgusting, but oh well, it's the other guests' fault; they clearly haven't been taught hygiene. But the rooms should be taken care of by the host; dirty sheets, who knows who's socks left lying around. I strongly advise against it. Spend more, but consider the quality of the place and the HYGIENE, which is no joke.
