Hôtel Monastère Maastricht

Nice hotel, spacious room 220. A few points for improvement. The TV is a bit outdated (not a smart TV) and not all channels worked, for example SBS6. The room looked clean at first glance, but there were still one toothpick on the nightstand, impossible to miss if you wipe everything down with a damp cloth. There was a fan in the room that led us to suspect the air conditioning wasn't working. There is no wardrobe, but there is a clothes rack. This was sufficient for one night, but if you stay here longer, you do miss a closet. The room looked very nice, with attention to the old style. The radio with Bluetooth was also a nice touch. Coffee maker and kettle also available.

A very nice hotel in a great location. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good selection. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's right in the city center, and the parking garage was only about a 5-minute walk away.

The room had many shortcomings. First, the TV remote barely worked, and the TV itself was old, without Netflix or YouTube. There was no mini-fridge in the room. Upon arrival, you have to pay €7 per person in taxes; this isn't mentioned when making the reservation. On the positive side, the location was right in the city center, the cleanliness was good, and the breakfast was decent, although many items like juice and pastries weren't replenished when they ran out. The young man who greeted you at breakfast was very friendly and professional.

Couldn't help but notice a stench of sewage in most of the ground floor. My room was okay but there were stairs to climb to go to the bedroom area, which was not ideal. Food at breakfast has no allergens or information anywhere on the tables, so if you have any dietary restriction you will need to ask the staff, which is a shame. It is a small detail that a hotel of this category should have figured out. Also very limited in terms of plant based options. The bar is lovely but with no service and next to some rooms on the ground floor.

Nice and cozy hotel

Great location, nice room – however, it has carpet. What's absolutely missing is a wardrobe or at least clothes hangers. There's nowhere to unpack your clothes or hang anything up.

A lovely and quiet hotel right in the heart of the old town. The staff were consistently very friendly and welcoming. We found it particularly interesting that the building was formerly a monastery and has been lovingly converted into a hotel – that was precisely the reason for our booking. Parking in the old town can be a bit challenging and can take some time if you're unfamiliar with the area. However, this also offers the opportunity to explore the city a little before your actual stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

We had the best stay ever! Such a nice place! Very tastefully decorated room and perfect location to explore the city. A special shoutout to Sophie from the reservation desk! She made us feel more than welcome and was a real delight to talk to!! Thanks a lot!
