Auberge de jeunesse Railway Hostel

This ended up feeling like home. Simple, small, clean, across the street from the bus station, a short walk from many supermarkets, and with a very kind and responsive host. Beds have curtains, free lockers, and towels provided. I genuinely hope for the chance to return again!

The hostel has a homey atmosphere and a prime location, just a 2-5 minute walk from the bus station. The directions are clear, the owner is very friendly, and the beds are very comfortable! Excellent value for money.

The host was very nice! Airport transfer was €20, and a taxi from the airport to the city center was €25. The beds were comfortable, but not every bed had a curtain. The lower bunk was too low to sit up, but I chose it because it had a curtain. The morning light was great! ✨ The locker was in the living room, so you wouldn't hear people unlocking it in the room, which was great! However, it was only big enough for a backpack. The chairs in the living room were very comfortable! There was a toilet in the shower room and another separate toilet room, so I didn't have to worry about fighting for the toilet (but I'm not sure what it would be like if there were 10 people staying). Minor drawbacks: No power outlets by the beds, no tables or chairs in the room. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the station and a 20-minute walk to the city center, which is quite convenient.

The staff are very easy-going and helpful. Everything is well maintained. The location is brilliant that is only a short walk away from the coach/railway station, so there is no doubt that this is the best choice for budget travellers who arrive and depart the city by buses/trains. Moreover, their washing machine is free to use for everyone, which is really a Plus!

The day I stayed at the hostel, I arrived in Skopje in the middle of the night, having just been hit by a cold in Kosovo and with my SIM card dead... The host's guidance and communication were incredibly helpful! The hostel is located inside a condominium, so it can be a bit tricky to find, but the host provided thorough instructions for access in advance. Wi-Fi is available in the building's parking lot, and signs are posted outside the door, demonstrating their meticulous attention to detail. Most importantly, the host is very responsive and friendly! After my one-night stay, I had to catch a night bus that night, but they allowed me to leave my luggage and rest at the hostel until my flight, which was a huge help. Thanks to them, I had less worries and had a wonderful time in Skopje.

This is a very affordable hostel, super close to the bus terminal, with a great hairdryer, curtains in the rooms, separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, and a very friendly host. You must stay here when you come to Skopje!

Usually I don't write feedbacks but this was amazing... I have been traveling through balkans for 5 weeks staying in more than 14 different hostel, and this for far is the best hostel budget (ultra) friendly of balkans by FAR. Comfortable, clean, exelent location, and the hosts really friendly. I would give it a 10 but there is not the option. Hvala puno and see you in March again! The uruguayan in Serbia!

We stayed at the Railway Hostel and really enjoyed our time there! The location couldn’t be better — it’s super close to the bus station and just a short stroll to the shopping mall, where there’s a great food court with plenty of options. Our room was spotless, with freshly washed bedsheets and towels that made it feel cozy and clean. Would be nicer if there are curtain for some privacy. The kitchen had everything you might need, though we only used the kettle for our morning coffee since we preferred eating out. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even nicer. A perfect spot for travelers looking for comfort and convenience!
