Svartkulp / Sognsvann (Cruising)

A small lake. A great place to relax.

Pond near Sognsvann (follow the signs to Ullevålseter a short distance). Much quieter place than Sognsvann, less people, and you can therefore enjoy nature to a much greater extent! Great if you want to be a little more alone than the possibilities at Sognsvann offer. Max 10 min walk from the parking lot, a little further from the subway, but there is a wide, good, gravel road up there, so you can even get there with a wheelchair. In winter, they go up and past the prepared trails, and in summer the cycle path (since cycling around the walkway at Sognsvann is not allowed, it is already narrow enough, and people who don't understand that they have to share the road when you meet them, so cycling there would be a bit of chaos). Right above there are great opportunities for camping, and last time I was there there were 8-10 tents in a cluster (looked like a scout group, since the scout leader came walking uphill when we went down). Didn't notice any designated barbecue areas that make it legal and safe to grill, but I wasn't looking for them.
