About this place Svartkulp / Sognsvann (Cruising)

Svartkulp is a small forest lake just beyond Sognsvann at the northern edge of Oslo, reached in about 20 minutes on T-bane line 3. Long popular as a nude-bathing spot, its secluded wooded shore is one of the city's better-known warm-weather gay sunbathing and cruising areas. It is strictly seasonal (summer, sunny days and light evenings) and discreet; normal Norwegian public-conduct rules apply.

Parts of the area are nudist friendly. Both the swimming area, along the water and the forest area. If you can't stand nudism and seeing adults without clothes - then stay away. Then you can rather take a 3.2 km walk around Songsvann...

Oslo's recreational area. Free camping with a campervan and tram directly to the city center! Great!

The lake is very pretty, with some lovely spots where you can sunbathe in complete tranquility. The path around it is a dirt path, which isn't always easy. It's obviously impossible to reach by bike or wheelchair. Not recommended for swimming.

A super short walk from Sognsvann Metro Station, but this lake is usually not as busy as the previous one. It’s a great place to catch some quiet moments and spend time in the nature. It is easily accessible and yet pretty nice.

Beautiful place to walk and explore, avoiding the crowds at Sognsvann

Don't bring your kids here. Full of old condoms and condom wrappers. This site is known as a sexual hookup place. Go anywhere else. It's a shame, because it would have been a beautiful place. But full of trash 👎
