Praia Grande de Pêra

Praia Grande de Pêra is a long, dune-backed naturist beach a short drive west of Albufeira, between Praia dos Salgados and Armação de Pêra (Silves municipality). The dunes and the quieter eastern end toward the rocks are a long-standing, informally tolerated gay naturist and cruising ("pegação") area, documented across Portuguese and international gay guides. Portugal is LGBTQ-friendly and same-sex activity is fully legal, but this is an outdoor, unofficial spot: go in daylight, stay where other people are around, keep valuables out of sight, and respect other beachgoers and local rules. Facilities are minimal.
