Hôtel Cișmigiu

Hotel Cișmigiu has an interesting history. The Jugend-style building was completed in 1912 as a luxury hotel. Over the years, it has also served as wartime accommodation and a student dormitory. The building is beautiful from the outside, so I would have hoped that the rooms were furnished in a way that matched the style as well.

Our whole group loved it. Large apartments with plenty of amenities. Great value.

Very disappointing stay. The elevators are outdated and extremely slow, the breakfast selection is poor, and when we arrived at 9:30 a.m., there was barely anything left to eat. The dining room supervisor was unfriendly and showed no sense of hospitality or customer service. In addition, the soap in the bathroom ran out and was never replaced. Overall, the hotel failed to meet even basic expectations.

Very old rooms with the smell of mothballs The shower is clogged, all the water goes up and stays there. Ahhhhhh Hard bed and thin pillows In short, not 4 stars at all!!!! I would barely give 3 stars. Like an apartment in an old nursing home. In addition, anyone from the street can freely enter the hotel and go up to the rooms. Even if they are not a hotel guest. Stay away!!!

The hotel is old, but well maintained. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. Breakfast is standard; don't expect anything special (including the quality of the coffee). The reception staff is excellent.
