Fossar de la Pedrera — Mémorial des déportés
Mémorial barcelonais aux républicains exécutés sous Franco et aux déportés catalans dans les camps nazis — avec une plaque de 2005 spécifiquement pour les déportés homosexuels.
Visitors find Fossar de la Pedrera a moving and serene memorial to victims of the Franco regime, a place to connect with history and remember the executed. However, some reviewers note that the upkeep of the memorial could be improved.

The Fossar de la Pedrera is part of the Montjuïc Cemetery and was formerly a mass grave. It is now a memorial monument, as the bodies of more than 1,700 people executed between 1939 and 1953, victims of Francoist repression, were thrown there. Their names appear on the monoliths at the entrance. There are also tributes to the victims of the Holocaust, to those who fell in the International Brigades and the Maquis (although other groups are represented), as well as the tomb of Lluís Companys. I visited it as part of the 48H Open House's Hidden Spaces initiative, which this month focused on the La Marina neighborhood, although it is not "hidden" and can be visited freely.
A beautiful memorial to the many victims of the Franco regime. The site has an extraordinary calm and serenity, considering the grim history. It's good to see more memorial stones appearing for individuals, who all deserve to be remembered. Note that the direct West gate seems to be permanently locked, and visitors must enter through the main cemetery.
This was one of the most memorable and moving places I have ever experienced. The mass grave is so sad. You can touch the recent past here. A must visit if you want to look beneath the surface of Spain.
