Alameda Ritual Club

Alameda Ritual Club occupies a renovated mansion at number 68 on the Alameda de Hercules, and it has quietly become one of the promenade's favourite cocktail stops. The interior keeps the bones of the old house - high ceilings, several rooms - while the terrace out front is prime Alameda people-watching territory. The bar is LGBT-friendly rather than strictly gay, which in practice means a comfortably mixed crowd drawn from the neighbourhood scene around it. Cocktails are the point here: properly made, fairly priced, served from late afternoon onward. It opens Wednesday to Sunday from 16:00, running to 02:00 midweek and 03:00 on Friday and Saturday. Come before sunset for a quiet terrace drink, or later when the Alameda crowd migrates from dinner to nightcaps.
