Antikhan Hotel

The staff are very friendly.

The receptionist was very rude and had a very poor attitude; it used to be better. I've stayed here many times, but this rating is due to the gentleman at reception.

We stayed for 2 days, the breakfast was very good, the room was generally clean, but the light in the bathroom wasn't working. The staff were nice during our stay, but when I called to book another stay, I couldn't understand what the person at reception said, so when I asked again, they shouted and responded very rudely. Because of this, I gave a low rating for service. It could be considered a good value-for-money hotel overall, apart from these minor issues.

We're from Izmir, and while touring Basmane, we stopped by the Antikhan Hotel to take a look at its courtyard. The staff greeted us warmly, offered us tea, talked about the hotel's history, and gave us lemons they'd picked from the tree in the garden as a gift. We don't have any information about the accommodation or the food, but if you're ever in the area, we highly recommend visiting and experiencing the historical atmosphere of the courtyard.

Horrible. We paid 40€ for a night and it felt like a scam. The bathroom was filthy and there was no hot water. When we complained we were changed rooms twice, but every time they just moved us to the room litteraly next door, so honestly it was barely better. Also there was an ashtray provided in every room, so I suppose that smoking indoors is tolerated there... We arrived quite late at night and the neighbourhood felt unsafe.

The hotel staff are really lovely and helpful in every way, thank you. The breakfast was quite sufficient and clean. I can't say the same for the rooms; it's impossible to take a shower or sleep without your own sheets and pillowcases. We came as two families and weren't bothered at all. Thank you to everyone involved 🙏

The shower isn't new and has some deficiencies, but the room was perfectly normal, with disposable towels, slippers, etc. You probably wouldn't find breakfast like this in Izmir for this price. If your only goal is to sleep and leave, don't bother looking for excessively meticulous service at this price.

It's located in one of Izmir's backstreets. I wouldn't recommend it if you were fooled by its rating. The cleanliness was beyond appalling. Other than that, the room was okay for the price. But there are serious cleaning problems. Also, the hot water stopped flowing after a 15-minute shower. I don't know why, and the staff was friendly.
