Doorman looked me up and down very deliberately and initially silently barred us entry. Then when I asked if he was refusing us entry because he was standing in the way if the door he said he was working out if any booths were free (loads of empty tables actually, plus this doesn’t appear to be his remit, plus it took a bit of time and he never once glanced inside), so this seems unlikely). I haven’t felt this shit in a decade or more. There’s obviously some criteria or other that we didn’t fit. In short: we’ll never return and I’d strongly recommend you don’t go along either.

My friends and I (all woman) got denied entry and told “we need a reservation.” A group of six men walk up without a reservation and get let in. Never been denied entry into a place because I’m a woman. Let’s hope their attitude of rejecting queer woman doesn’t have them end up like GAY.

The service and atmosphere was great, coming again!

Went here to meet a couple girls and to see their Monday Kinky Cabaret. It was FANTASTIC! The only con is that it's kind of pricey, but oh well, it's not like I'm here all the time!

I have frequently Freedom many times and it’s always been a great night out. The entertainment downstairs is always fun with great singers and a genuinely fun and enjoyable vibe. They may occasionally refuse people at the door but only when the place is literally heaving or large groups of drunk “Lads” who haven’t quite realised it’s a queer venue.

It was bad enough one snob selective queer place in London (Heaven) now there's two, these one open: Freedom. They say on google they close 3am/4am. I was at the door with another friend at 1am, today, and they said as other coments below say: - "Is full sorry". I went to another bar until it closed, at 2am I came back.to Freedom. The bar was empty from outside sight so I tried again, they said the same. My surprise is they randomly let new people in (two to be precised) without a stamp, without having entered before. LGBTQIA+ bars are closing all around London if the one's that exists keep letting people of a "welcoming community" out nothing will resist. Very sad.

This club handled a very serious situation terribly and we will never return. One of our friends was sexually assaulted while we were there. Security acted like they were removing the man responsible, but when we went upstairs he was still inside the club and allowed to remain in the bar area. When we asked security to properly remove him so he couldn’t target or harm anyone else, we were told they “couldn’t do that.” Our friend was extremely distressed and just wanted to leave, but a security guard and the manager physically blocked the exit with their arms, preventing her from opening the door. They had absolutely no right to detain her. To make things worse, the older manager was incredibly rude and even called me “stupid” for standing up for myself and my friends. It wasn’t just our friend who reported this man either — another girl had also been affected — yet apparently that still wasn’t enough for the club to take action and remove him. The lack of care, professionalism, and basic safety for women was honestly shocking. No one should feel unsafe or ignored after reporting assault. SHUT IT DOWN. EDIT: in response to Keith Todd We stand by our account of what happened that night. At no point did our friend feel properly safeguarded or supported after reporting unwanted sexual contact. Regardless of the venue’s internal procedures, the reality was that the man remained visible and present within the premises after the incident, which caused further distress to our friend and the rest of us. We were not “shouting” or trying to cause problems — we were upset because our friend was distressed and we were trying to advocate for her safety. We also dispute the claim that she was taken to a proper safe space or treated with appropriate care. Most importantly, no victim of sexual assault or unwanted sexual contact should leave a venue feeling dismissed, intimidated, or unsupported. That is exactly how our friend felt after this experience. This review was written to reflect our genuine experience and concern for the safety and wellbeing of others.

Great venue and performances this Sunday when I visited to watch the Heavenly Bodies show. I will definitely be coming back again soon!

Sadly a girl in our group was sexually assaulted by someone in here and we reported this and and was shocked to see him still in the upstairs bar area, when we asked why he wasn’t removed the security/owner said “he said this didn’t happen” there were at least 5 witnesses and it wasn’t rocket science to work out he was clearly very intoxicated too - disgusting.
